We are currently developing our first product, Factory — a platform that connects people with manufacturers across the world. Factory is the first step in a broader ecosystem designed to transform global commerce.
About the role
As Product Designer at Complexity, you will be responsible for designing exceptional product experiences across our products — beginning with Factory and expanding into future platforms.
You will work closely with the founder and engineering team to shape product direction, define user experiences, and translate product concepts into clear, polished, and production-ready designs.
This is a foundational design role. The person in this position will help form the design language, product experience, and interaction standards for Factory and future Complexity products. This role requires exceptional product thinking, refined visual taste, deep attention to detail, and the ability to design simple, beautiful, and cohesive experiences across all of our products.
Responsibilities
* Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces across Complexity products
* Create exceptional product experiences across mobile, web, and dashboard surfaces
* Work directly with the founder to shape product direction, design priorities, and user experience standards
* Translate product concepts into clear, polished, and production-ready designs
* Build clean, scalable, and cohesive UI systems
* Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented with precision
* Review product builds and provide clear, detailed feedback on design execution
* Improve existing product experiences through iteration, user feedback, and product judgment
* Establish the visual language, interaction standards, and design systems for Factory and future Complexity products
You should have
* Strong experience designing mobile apps and web products
* Exceptional visual design, typography, layout, and interaction design skills
* Strong product thinking
* Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma
* Ability to design polished, modern, and effective interfaces
* Strong attention to detail and high standards for execution quality
* Comfort working independently in a fast-moving startup environment
* Ability to communicate design decisions clearly
* Strong understanding of design systems, scalable UI patterns, and product consistency
* Ownership and exceptional execution discipline
Bonus points
* Experience designing marketplaces, social networks, commerce platforms, SaaS products, AI products, or dashboards
* Experience designing for mobile-first products
* Experience working with React Native, React, or Next.js teams
* Experience using Framer to design and build high-quality web experiences
* Motion design or interaction prototyping experience
* Brand identity or visual systems experience
* English proficiency
Interview process

Intro Conversation – An introductory conversation about your background and design experience.
Design Challenge – A product design exercise to assess your product thinking, user experience approach, and visual execution.
Challenge Review – A discussion of your design challenge, selected previous work, design decisions, and execution.
Offer – If you demonstrate the skills and mindset we’re looking for, we’ll extend an offer to join Complexity.
All interviews are conducted via Google Meet.

$1,000 USD per month
