"Procurement Reform Group" activities established in public procurement

On May 8 of this year, a roundtable discussion was held in the building of the Ministry of Economy and Finance with the participation of members of the "Procurement Reform Group," consisting of active manufacturers and public representatives from industry associations, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-417 dated December 3, 2024.

At this roundtable, issues of supporting manufacturers in public procurement and creating broad opportunities for them, further improvement of the public procurement system, in particular, the digitization of procurement documents, the implementation of procurement procedures through a unified system, identification and analysis of risks in public procurement and their disclosure to the public through a unified system were discussed.

Also, at the conclusion of the roundtable, an agreement was reached to continuously discuss the effectiveness of practical work and available opportunities in the field of public procurement and to develop a corresponding action plan to address systemic problems in the field of public procurement.
