Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders of unknown origin are frightening and disorienting for both patients and their loved ones. We have knowledgeable and compassionate team members who are skilled at helping to relieve the pain and stress of managing the shaking and shuffling so common to Parkinson’s disease, as well as the more unknown and unpredictable symptoms. We can identify the signs that point to lighter or tougher days and are trained in a variety of exercises and other physical adjustments for increasing control and comfort.
From helping patients learn and establish healthier lifestyles and making smarter nutritional choices to monitoring blood sugar and insulin levels with greater discipline and consistency, our team of diabetes home care specialists come highly trained. They help patients and family members better understand the spectrum of this complex disease and control its chronic effects through greater education, diet, exercise and more vigilant medication management.
Even with the help of family members, recovering from a stroke at home can present substantial challenges, especially when patients face serious short- or long-term disabilities. Depending on the severity of the stroke, the earlier survivors begin a rehabilitative regimen at home, the better their chances of recovering function and personal independence. Our skilled stroke home care specialists create and deliver care programs that include components of physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as mental health counseling.
Our expert home-based caregivers are especially trained in helping patients cope with depression and other mental health disorders in the safety and familiar comfort of their homes. Even if they can care for themselves physically, the companionship we offer to patients who are battling depression can prove crucial to disease management and recovery, keeping them active and engaged in life, both at home and in the community. Daily, positive social interaction can prove essential to their progress.
While a cancer diagnosis is shocking to most, advances in the science of cancer care provide hope to many patients and family members. Skilled in-home care through difficult treatment regimens, such as chemotherapy and radiation, can prove to be an essential tool for increasing physical and emotional comfort. From assisting with daily activities and housekeeping to supporting patients who are undergoing harsh bouts of pain, nausea, anemia, infection, and other complications, our caregivers can mitigate stress and help patients maintain an optimistic outlook through their struggles.
Caring for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at home can prove to be a key component to successful treatment, as patients and loved ones are educated in better understanding the nature of the condition. Through our skilled team members, pulmonary rehabilitation via prescribed exercises, medication management, nutrition counseling, and disease education can help improve quality of life, increase strength, and reduce shortness of breath — and can all be performed safely and effectively in the patient’s home.
Studies demonstrate that patients suffering from heart disease, and who are cared for at home, can improve their chances of regaining lost strength, slowing the progression of the disease, and implementing better lifestyle choices. Our skilled in-home caregivers can prepare meals that comply with physician orders, and that are specially designed by nutritionists to be low in sodium, cholesterol and fat. They can also support and instruct patients on the importance of monitoring their vital signs, regulate their breathing through specialized exercise, and incorporate periodic rest periods into daily activities.
Treating chronic wounds and injuries successfully at home requires a unique combination of skillsets that cover both clinical and emotional care. In addition to the debilitating pain they can cause, open wounds and other injuries often seep, emit foul odors, and can take long periods of time to heal – if at all. Our in-home wound care team understands the many intricacies involved in treating wounds and injuries, while appreciating the sensitivities of providing what often prove to be highly intimate and personal acts of care.
Short-term rehabilitation recovery is required when patients are discharged from a hospital stay. Whether it was for a stroke, an injury, or even certain surgeries, patients aren’t fully recovered enough to resume the tasks of their everyday lives. Short-term rehabilitation recovery can help.
Activities of daily living can include bathing, dressing, speaking, walking, eating, lying down, getting up, and more. These are most of the activities that we all take for granted. We have a team that is specifically skilled in helping patients through these difficult post-hospital-care challenges. Services can include occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy, as well.

A Private is a enlisted soldier in the United States Army at DoD paygrade E-1. A Private receives a monthly basic pay salary starting at $1,833 per month, with raises up to $1,833 per month once they have served for over 2 years.

In addition to basic pay, Privates may receive additional pay allowances for housing and food, as well as special incentive pay for hostile fire and dangerous duties.

Including the most common pay allowances, the average total compensation for a Private may range from $42,200.99 to $42,200.99 per year as of 2022.

In addition to Basic Pay, a Private may be eligible to receive several types of allowances and incentive pay.
Basic Allowance for Housing is a monthly payment meant to subsidize a servicemember's housing while deployed. The amount of BAH received each month depends on the location in which they live.
The average Basic Housing Allowance for a Private with dependants is $1,624.68 , or $1,276.47 with no dependants.
All enlisted members of the Army receive a monthly allowance for food and drink of $406.98 .
Enlisted members' BAS is higher than officers' BAS, as enlisted members are generally responsible for buying their own food.
A Private may receive hazard pay of $150.00 / mo while serving in an active combat zone or subject to hostile fire or other hazards.

In addition to basic pay and allowances , active-duty soldiers, veterans, and even their families are eligible for hundreds of discounts and additional benefits offered by organizations and private companies like JetBlue , United Airlines , Verizon , and hundreds more.

As this page shows, the total compensation paid to an Army Private is significantly more than just basic pay. This simple pay calculator can estimate the total compensation for a Private by adding basic pay to housing allowance (BAH) and subsistance allowance (BAS) , the two largest payments received by most soldiers.

The Government civilian employee equivalent of a Private is paid under the General Schedule paygrade. To learn more, see this Army ranks to civilian General Schedule grades conversion table .
