Private Lessons is the third book in the A Nerd in the Hand series by Tragen Moss. This book is hot, hot, hot. It's got age gap, first-time virgin, a forbidden older brother's best friend, dirty talk, a dominant personality who likes to go all caveman and feral animal on Beckett, and an innocent school teacher who convinces his brother's best friend Matthew to give him private lessons on how to date guys. Private Lessons is short and sweet--except when it's short and very, very dirty. ;) Beckett is an incredibly sweet hero (a kindergarten teacher! Though sadly we don't see him in the classroom at all), and Matthew is the older guy, older brother's best friend who's sure he doesn't deserve him. At. All. More caveman fun - with a twist So this series is all about the possessive caveman-like alpha and the virgin nerd, lots of sex, no angst. Except - this one had a teensy bit of angst, and the virgin nerd knew his own mind and was independent and didn’t just roll over and take everything. He stood up for himself in a way I wasn’t expecting, and as fun as the others were, it made me like this one just a little bit more. edited to add 2/4/19 - looks like this has been pulled and re-released as mpreg b

I read this book as part of an arc program. I really enjoyed this book and I really liked Matthew and his caveman ways. Beckett was the little brother of Matthew's best friend. When Matthew promises to look after Beckett after his brother was killed in a car crash, he arranged for Beckett to go to college and even "win a car". Because Beckett needed a place to live while in college, Matthew bought a condo and asked Beckett to housesit while he was working on the oil rigs. Things were going well

Everything was going well until Beckett asks Matthew for help to seduce a man. Beckett wants to know what women do to attract Matthew's attention so he can get a man like Matthew. Beckett doesn't know Matthew is gay but he thinks he is the perfect man and sometimes he pretends they are a couple. This was a good story and Matthew made me laugh with his inner dialogue. They chemistry between Beckett and Matthew was so hot. Good one!

I'm sad that this is the last one in the series :(. I've enjoyed reading them! I loved the dual POV. Even though this is a short story, the pace was nice and their relationship progressed nicely. I loved the MCs Beckett and Matthew. Beckett, who can't seem to get a second date, asks Matthew, who he has a crush on, to teach him how to get a guy like Matthew. Beckett thinks Matthew is straight, so he's a safe person to ask. Little does he know that not only is Matthew gay, he also has a crush on B

Interesting characters. Matthew is the stereotypical big, strong man that hides his feelings from Beckett. He actually hides a lot of things from Beckett but, with a little help from a rather attention-grabbing clothing store sales clerk, begins to come clean. Even with this extra push, Matthew still runs hot and cold for a bit until Beckett takes charge of his own life and Matthew realizes he'll lose the person he loves most if he doesn't put it all on the line. I liked Matthew's character arc

Fast m/m love story read. Complete story in a novella format. Good history building between the two main characters and believable romance. Likable characters, that grow over time. Not an instant romance, moves at a believable pace. Of the three books in this series, I like this one best.

Stud/virginal nerd smut A nice, sweet story of a tough oil rigger who crushes on the (virginal, geeky/awkward) little brother of his deceased best bud. For me, this was nothing special but served as nice bit of steam for readers who appreciate the stud/awkward virgin connection.

I really don't get why this is called a M/M gay romance. I never see a F/M hetero romance. Or is it to prevent people to think there are bisexual characters in the story? Let us go with that explanation because all the other ones are dumb. What can I say? It's erotica. With a little bit of 'romance'. And I was not in the mood for that.
