Located north from Male, within the constellation of islands that form the Noonu Atoll, Velaa Private Island brings a new meaning to "private moments" in the Maldives. Comprising 43 private villas and 2 four-bedroom residences fusing local materials and contemporary flourishes, each retreat offers a generous outdoor space and private pool. While 18 villas are built over water, the Romantic Villa is the only exclusive villa that is reached by boat. Our Residences are the only 4-bedroom residences in Maldives, accommodating up to 10 people offering elegant contemporary design and 1,350 SQM of interior and exterior space, incl. 2 terraces, a pool and a courtyard. For the epicurean, Velaa Private Island boasts the culinary consultancy of Michelin-star chef Adeline Grattard from Paris, and the most extensive wine cellar in the Indian Ocean. With 3 restaurants, 2 bars and 1 wine cellar, every palate is sure to be satisfied. The spa, in addition to featuring exclusive My Blend by Clarins products and treatments, will showcase the first 'snow room' in the Maldives and comprises six secluded treatment rooms nestled over the island's turquoise lagoon. Two cloud-shaped reclining treatment pods by Klafs and Sha will also be featured in the spa, which slowly sway and cradle guests into deep relaxation. Golf enthusiasts will be treated to the only Short Game Golf Academy in the Maldives. Designed by professional golfer and two-time Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal, golfers can craft their game in the middle of paradise.

How a pleasure was to come again to the Maldives, in a particularly difficult situation with COVID-19! We had a trip with my husband in mid-January 2021. We chose the hotel for a long time, but decided to stay at the boutique hotel Velaa Private island and we were right. We want to share with others our impressions of the hotel and service: Premium hotel like the paradise on the Earth!!! The hotel staff has always been friendly and helpful, wherever we were. Service, food, entertainments - all at the highest level. The restaurants are not only beautiful in design, but with tasty cuisine. At the SPA of the hotel the guests can choose a wide range of methods of healing the whole body with Asian techniques. The center has a SPA boutique, which sells quality cosmetics. Guests who do not like to relax all the time also have what to do: it is fitness with instructors, modern gym equipment, golf, fishing, yoga, tennis, diving and much more, which we even had no time to try. You definitely won't have to be bored. Also a special respect to our beautiful Butler Zoda, for her attention and care. Very sensitive, friendly, and a good girl! She is a professional. She controlled absolutely everything and responded immediately to any of our requests and all the time helped us. Sometimes it seemed that she could "read our minds." It was very nice! Such employee, as Zoda is really a treasure for the hotel management!!! Memories from our holidays remained wonderful! This is one of our best vacations in the Maldives. Thank you to the hotel and its team that made our stay comfortable and unforgettable! We do not like to rest in the same place twice, but we would be very glad to return to the Velaa Island Hotel again. …
Went there for 10 days in December and had a wonderful time. Accomodations, food and hospitality were really outstanding during the entire stay. Especially have to thank my dedicated butler Shehz(ana) who made the whole holiday so special and was always ahead when it came to organizing my daily routine or getting stuff done. She always went the extra mile and I already miss her british accent 😉

We arrived to this amazing resort after a short Yacth trip and we were amazingly welcomed by all the Staff committee from all the departments. During our long stay at an amazing beach villa perfect for our daughter to enjoy playing on the sand and jump in the pool. Food is amazing from the buffets, to a la carte menu, to the fine dining at Aragu amazing dining by sea set up and Tavaru Tower with an amazing 360 degree view of the island with an exquisite wine cellar. Thank you Nazira our amazing Butler for all the patience and attention to detail. Azim and Kalzhan for your amazing team work making sure everything was perfect to us. you are probably the best butlers I've seen working in the Maldives. Roka recreation manager always making sure we were busy and fit along with an extraordinary Kids club, fitness and watersports with great professionals. To the gardening team for their amazing kindness work ethic and respect makinng sure everything is neat and spotless. Vela has probably some of the most beautiful gardens in the Maldives. We visited here for a birthday celebration and could not have picked a better choice! Velaa is truly heaven on earth, we just loved it - from arrival to our departure we were looked after as VIPs. No request is too big or too small for the staff here. Rooms are spectacular with your own private pool and well stocked with a great selection of mini bar items and amenities. The Clarins spa offers a great selection of treatments and a lovely wellness package to help you get into shape with a regime of workouts and nutrition program. The watersports area has a great selection - there is something for everybody - from seabobs to diving, water skiing and more... The coral regeneration program is a great initiative that I was delighted to see although a little saddened by the daily feeding of the stingrays (I don't think it's right to interfere with their eating habits and when they arrive at 6pm on the dot every day, they know there is guaranteed food). They are still eating good fish but as a reward for circus tricks not hunting food as they should be :-( ) Along with Soneva and Cheval Blanc, this is definitely one of my top hotels in the Maldives! …

Super location. Super service from Ali (express) 😀 As crew we had the best time ever, swimming, food everything beyond first class. loved the diving, the collored fishes and we even saw a shark. tks for all yr effort.
