A simple slackbot to make managing public private channels easier. That is,
when you want to use private channels for their "history doesn't show up
every time you search, randos can't read your history" but you want to make
knowing about and joining them easier.
Also a bonus, no one needs to know any of the members of a channel until
they join the channel.
To see a list of private channels you can join:
And over in the private channel, members will see:
The first time you run it a privatebot-conf.json will be created to hold
between-runs configuration. The default port it runs on is 8999 – if you'd
like something different, stop the server, edit the config, and start it
back up.
First you'll need to create a new bot account on your slack instance:
Pick whatever name you like– I used privatebot . It will generate an "API
token" that starts with xoxb- – copy this and run the following:
You should see your server process print out something like:
/privatebot/e34731fe-3cef-7a3c-ad5f-be748349ea3a (Name of your Slack)
You should also see the bot login on your slack instance.
Next you need to setup your slash command:
Add one named /private with a URL like:
http://your.host.name:8999/privatebot/e34731fe-3cef-7a3c-ad5f-be748349ea3a
And that's it, you're done setting up now. Invite the bot to any channels
you want in the public listing.

Create private voice channels in your Discord using a Lobby / Master / Join to Create channel.
Customizable • Perfect for gaming Servers
PrivateVoice is a bot to create and manage private voice channels in your Discord server. With this bot, you don't have to create a voice channel for every members' needs. The bot does this for you by making (and cleaning up again) channels at the users demand by having one Lobby / Master / Join to Create channel.
This bot is ideal for large gaming servers and playing games like Among Us.
Reviews can be left only by registered users. All reviews are moderated by top.gg admins. Please make sure to check our guidelines before posting.
This bot is worth all the 5 stars! We use it very much in our discord server because we voice chat a lot. I really like how you can change the names of the chanels with it and you can even change the amount of people you want in the chat. Very usefull for talks with some people in private. Top bot :)
I love you are enjoying the bot, thank you so much for the nice review!
Great bot, we use it in our discord server with about 200 members. Thanks to the bot we can keep our discord looking nice and fancy, we always have enough voice channels ;).
Easy to use with simply and clear commands! Big thumbs up!

Glad to hear Private Voice makes things easier for your server. Thank you for the beautiful review!
Great hands down. I've used it in all of my servers and it is so helpful. So many options and ways to customize. 11/10 honestly.
Thank you for the nice review Pb! I hope you will keep enjoying Private Voice as more features are on the way!
Is there a way to set the default limit? So when people make a channel its a max 2 channel and they are able to change that?

Thank you for the positive review. The feature you are asking about is not available yet.
I do like the suggestion, so I will add it to the todo list!
I'm going to do a new server with It
(edited)
Thanks for the nice review! I hope you will enjoy Private Voice in your new server!
I really like the bot but my only problem is that the vcs are public when I make them. Idk if there is something I am missing or if its a mistake, either way someone talling me how to make it private would be nice
Thank you for the great review! I really appreciate it!
You can set channels closed by default my using the command '=toggle open'.
If you need any more help you can join the support discord: discord.gg/5ukZtcB or take a look at docs.privatevoice.tk

Awesome bot I'm making a server and works great :D
So nice to hear! Have fun using it in your new server.
Is there a way to set the default audio quality? Otherwise enjoying this bot very useful to keep the discord looking nice and clean
Thanks for the review! This is not a feature at the moment. Keep an eye on our discord (https://discord.privatevoice.tk) and you'll be the first to know when it's there!
Thank you for sending in a review. As to your question about setting a member role, this is a premium feature we offer. Find out more at our website privatevoice.tk or on our patreon page patreon.com/private_voice

I'm developing a Telegram bot, which should be accessible only by its owner (only the owner would be able to add it to groups or see it in the search). Is it possible to achieve this via Telegram services (like BotFather) or should I check in my code if the one who's sending messages to the bot is the owner?
Trending sort is based off of the default sorting method — by highest score — but it boosts votes that have happened recently, helping to surface more up-to-date answers.
It falls back to sorting by highest score if no posts are trending.
You can do this in setting, you need to check by yourself, just exit program if .message.from.id not equal to yours.
You can disable join group via /setjoingroup , but you can't invite bot to group either.
There is nothing you can do with BotFather.
the only way is to check it inside your code.
You can check for the chat id (9 digit number) in your code.
For example, if you use this wrapper to create bot, you can use update.message.chat_id to get chat id. You can also check for the first name ( update.message.from_user.first_name ) and last name ( update.message.from_user.last_name ).
I started working a few weeks ago on telegram's bots. For that I've read in the specifications there is no way to create a private bot from botfather. The only way is using a custom command like /password to send a password to the bot and then keep the chat id of the client (when password is correct of course ...). Your bot need to accept commands only from memorized/autentificated chat id as you would do it in a classical way for any other application.
There's another option described in the telegram docs.
You can use a deeplink to get a unique key from the link and secure your bot.
Denying access in your code to anyone who does not have the key.
