Noch vor einem Jahrzehnt wurde der Weltraum hauptsächlich von der NASA, ESA und wenigen anderen staatlichen Institutionen bereist, erforscht und mit Satelliten ausgestattet. Heutzutage ist Elon Musk dabei zehntausende Satelliten mit seinem eigenen Raumfahrtunternehmen „SpaceX“ in den Weltraum zu schießen, um seinen Satelliteninternetdienst „Starlink“ aufzubauen. Gleichzeitig bietet Jeff Bezos mit seinem Raumfahrtunternehmen „Blue Origin“ ausgewählten Personen Tourismusflüge in den Weltraum an. Dabei spielt der Weltraum oft unbemerkt für jeden einzelnen eine große Rolle. Egal ob es das Autonavi, Google Maps oder die Lauf-App ist. Sie alle sind auf Satelliten im Weltraum angewiesen. Aber handelt es sich bei dem Weltraum also um einen rechtsfreien Raum, den jeder mit dem nötigen Kapital für seine eigenen Zwecke nutzen darf? Am 25.11.2021 hält Professor Schladebach einen Vortrag über private Akteure im Space Law, seine Relevanz in der heutigen Zeit und dessen Weiterentwicklung. Prof. Dr. Marcus Schladebach (LL.M.) ist einer der führenden Forscher für Weltraumrecht in Deutschland und leitet derzeit die Forschungsstelle für Öffentliches Recht, Medienrecht und Luft- und Weltraumrecht an der Universität Potsdam.
