In the February 2022 legislative session, Oregon legislators passed legislation that was signed into law by Governor Kate Brown codifying the most comprehensive set of changes to the Oregon Forest Practices Act since its inception fifty years ago. The set of changes resulted from more than a year of scientific review and negotiations between private forestry representatives, small forestland owners, and environmental groups, known as the Private Forest Accord.
In addition to continuing to provide clean water and protected habitat, the agreement helps provide legal certainty and regulatory stability for Oregon’s forestry sector and the hundreds of thousands of jobs it supports by pursuing a 50-year Habitat Conservation Plan on private forestland from the federal services. It also creates a new framework for how future water-related changes to Oregon’s forest practices will be made that incorporates a robust and thoroughly vetted scientific process. And Oregonians will be assured a stable forest products sector that produces a much-needed supply of renewable wood products, jobs, ample recreation opportunities, and good forest management to reduce wildfire risk.
OFIC and its members are participating in the rulemaking to enact regulations consistent with the deal terms in front of the Board of Forestry in 2022. Following that, an application will be made to the federal services for a state-wide Habitat Conservation Plan on private forestland. It is anticipated that the new rules would phase in over time, with stream buffers potentially going into effect no sooner than summer of 2023 and the rest of the rules going into effect in 2024.
Statement from Chris Edwards, President of the Oregon Forest & Industries Council following passage of the PFA bills:
This is truly a paradigm shift and a moment in our state’s history of which all Oregonians should be proud. This demonstrates it is possible to put differences aside and work together on viable solutions to tough problems. Today we leave the Timber Wars in the past and embark on a new collaborative era of forestry that ensures a future for sustainable active forest management and wood products manufacturing.
Facilitated by Governor Kate Brown and established in 2020 through nearly unanimous passage of Senate Bill 1602 , the Private Forest Accord was formed as part of an agreement by all parties to walk away from six competing ballot measures slated for the November 2020 general election that would have erupted in a costly and divisive fight over management of private forests . In addition to memorializing the Private Forest Accord and facilitating a mediated process to explore further changes to Oregon’s Forest Practices Act, SB 1602 increased drinking water protections through changes to helicopter herbicide applications on forestland that went into effect in 2021, including implementation of the first ever electronic notification system for real-time communication of applications to neighbors, new reporting requirements, and increased buffers for homes, schools, drinking water intakes and streams.

We all want to see Oregon thrive. When opposing sides work together, it helps solve some of the most pressing issues facing Oregonians today.

good god this cologne is decadent. its got this chocolate, coffee sweet vibe to it. absolutely heavenly and a GIRL MAGNET. performance is way above average. 6-8 hours longevity with a solid 5 hours of HEAVY PROJECTION. this one will get you noticed. the hype is definitely real with this one.

I really like this scent, definitely smells more unique than most other colognes I have tried. It is subtle and not overpowering. It lasts about 4 hours until it completely fades away.

An exquisite scent, manly with a little touch of vanilla spice introduced to the chemistry of the skin, the experiment proved to be an excellent investment for which I encourage any to try perhaps to add to a collection or to use as a main staple for a perfume

The chocolate smell at the very beginning is amazing. Unfortunately it only lasts a couple of minutes. Then the maninka fruit takes over which is still a pretty good scent! I just wish the chocolate scent lasted longer.

This is a wonderful scent. Purchased from Amazon as the seller, the bottle was fresh, within months of the production date. Masculine scent of cocoa, fruit, spices and leather. Lasts all day. Could wear this for work or fun, casual or dress. Probably best for fall and winter.

The Scent from Hugo Boss spun off a ton of flankers in a pretty short amount of time. Overall, the lineup was good, with some that were even better. Private Accord was brought out in 2018, to give a new interpretation of the maninka fruit-based The Scent DNA. What does this entry smell like? How long does it last? Is it even worth a try?
Notes include: ginger, maninka fruit, mocha, cocoa absolute, pepper, bergamot, patchouli, woods
Private Accord kicks things off with an immediate impact from the cacao note. It is very strong from the start and joined by the fresh spice of ginger. Ginger is one of my favorite spicy notes, so, I think the opening here is sort of awesome.
Underneath that is a further spiciness supplied by a dash of pepper. Along with, the usual fruitiness of this series, maninka fruit. However, in this one, you get some pineapple to go along with it.
I will say, that the maninka and fruitiness as a whole, is toned down in The Scent Private Accord when compared to the others.
Once it has settled somewhat, the spiciness subsides. Cacao will at first be joined by a coffee note. Think more 75% cacao, 25% coffee. Then, the coffee will mostly be replace by vanilla, with the gourmand aroma being held together by a nice patchouli note.
The dry down is probably my least favorite part of this fragrance. It becomes much drier with a powdery cacao smell. It’s a sweet and dry cologne, pretty distant from that early great freshness of spices and fruits.
Sillage, Longevity, and Versatility
Private Accord has good sillage. It will project itself around 6-8 feet from the wearer, at it’s peak. Strong, but ultimately hits the upper end of moderate for much of its wear. From then on, it will still have a nice scent bubble, but not permeate the room.
I get just over 8 hours of wear with Private Accord. It isn’t an elite scent, in this regard, but much better than some of the others in this series from Hugo Boss . I really had no issue with the performance from this one.
So, if you like the smell, you’ll at least get your money’s worth out of it.
Seasonally, stick to the autumn and winter. This is very much a colder weather wear and would kind of get gross in the heat. That sweet, spicy, warmth isn’t exactly built for the summer.
This one also skews toward younger guys. The chocolate and vanilla combination dominates, once the initial ginger spice burns off. Not strictly a teenager’s scent or anything, but Private Accord isn’t something formal.
It’s good casually or for the nightlife. Would for sure, want to wear this Hugo Boss out for an evening on the town versus whatever during the daytime.
Overall Impression of Private Accord
Overall, do I like this Hugo Boss scent? I think it’s a nice smelling fragrance overall. It does get a little too heavy on the cacao and vanilla, in the latter stages. That part isn’t bad, but it’s a noticeable step down.
The early stages with the ginger, pepper, and maninka fruit are worthwhile and ranks among the best in the series. There isn’t too much development, but the sweet powdery quality isn’t amazing to me.
I prefer The Scent Absolute from this series. Actually, I liked the original better also, it just had terrible performance. Private Accord at least has solid performance going for it, with a nice smell.
That being said, Private Accord is an above average to very good cologne. It might not be for everyone, as you’re going to have to really be into dry chocolatey gourmands. Not super sugary, but more of a warm powder.

I'm so confused. This sounds really good, and I like other AG frags, especially Cloud, but I just couldn't smell anything with this! Maybe it was because we were sampling a bunch at once, but I could smell everything else, including the ones I tried after Ari. I sprayed the strip, and...
Goes with a 'clean girl' aesthetic trend: clean, fresh, ozonic, office safe, professional. Nothing groundbreaking, but nevertheless nice. Might be a useful addition for someone who doesn't have fresh scents in their wardrobe. Fresh perfumes is not really a scent profile I am...
Hype.. Its weak and has a rubbery smell
Very safe option indeed, I like this smell a lot. Although most people don't wear Frag, but 70-80% people who wear fragrance wear this fragrance. same with BDC, but I prefer this over BDC. I
