Privacy Policy of Offline AI - Private

1. Introduction

Offline AI - Private (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is an on-device AI chat application for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.

Our core principle: your chats, attachments, and AI processing stay on your device. We do not operate cloud AI servers that receive your messages.

2. Summary

Offline AI - Private does not require an account. Your chat messages, AI responses, attachments, downloaded models, and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone.

The App does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell personal information, and does not send your chat content to cloud AI services for inference.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store on our servers, or receive:

Chat messages or prompts
AI-generated replies
Photos, documents, or other attachments you add to chats
Your name, email, phone number, or other account details (the App has no account system)
Device identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking
Location data

We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising frameworks that track you across apps or websites.

4. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores data locally on your iPhone, including:

Chat history — conversations you create in the App
Attachments — photos and files you attach to chats (if you use this feature)
Downloaded AI models — model files you choose to download for offline use
App preferences — settings such as onboarding completion, selected model, and optional AI rules

This data remains in the App’s sandbox on your device unless you delete it (for example, by deleting chats, removing models, or uninstalling the App).

You are responsible for your device. Anyone with access to your unlocked iPhone may be able to see your chats and attachments stored in the App.

5. On-Device AI Processing

When you send a message, the App runs AI models on your iPhone using on-device inference. Your message content is not sent to us and not sent to a cloud LLM API operated by us for generating replies.

If you set optional AI rules, those instructions are applied locally as part of on-device generation.

Processing happens on your device. Performance depends on your iPhone model and available memory.

6. Network Use

The App is designed to work offline after you download a model. Network access may be used for:

Downloading AI models from third-party model hosts (such as Hugging Face) when you choose to download or update a model
App Store / Apple services for subscriptions, purchases, and updates (handled by Apple)

We do not receive the content of your chats when you use the App, including when models are downloaded.

Third-party services (such as Hugging Face) have their own privacy policies. We do not control how those services operate.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Optional Offline AI Pro features are sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Apple may provide us with limited purchase information (such as subscription status) as needed to unlock Pro features in the App.

8. Photos and Documents (Pro / Vision)

If you attach photos or documents to a chat, those files are processed on your device by a vision-capable model you have downloaded. We do not upload those files to our servers.

The App may request access to your Photo Library or Files only so you can select attachments. Access is used for features you initiate; we do not browse your library in the background.

9. Live Activities and Notifications

The App may show Live Activities (for example, model download progress) on your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. This information is generated locally and is not sent to us.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us at leschenkoapp@gmail.com.

11. Data Retention

We do not retain your chat data on our servers because we do not receive it. Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the App.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information (access, deletion, etc.). Because we do not collect your chat content or operate a user account system, most requests can be fulfilled by deleting chats, models, or the App on your device.

13. International Users

The App is developed by Artem Leshchenko. If you use the App outside your country of residence, your device-stored data remains on your device under your control.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
