1. Overview

Verse is an offline library of curated quotes for Android. This privacy policy describes exactly what the app stores on your device, and what it does not collect about you.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Verse does not require an account and does not transmit any personal information to us or any third party. Specifically, the app does not collect:

• Your name, email address or phone number
• Location data
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs or fingerprinting data
• Contacts, photos, calendars or any other personal files
• Analytics or usage telemetry
• Crash logs or diagnostics

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Verse saves the following on your device only, using the standard Android DataStore mechanism inside the app's private storage. None of this leaves the device.

• Favorite quotes — a list of quote identifiers you have marked with the heart icon.
• Appearance preferences — your selected theme (Follow system / Light / Dark) and whether dynamic color is enabled.
• Reading preferences — whether to show the author by default and whether large-text mode is enabled.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing the app's storage from your device's Settings, or by uninstalling the app.

4. Network Access

Verse works entirely offline. The quote library is bundled with the app at install time. The only time the app reaches the network is when you actively tap one of the following:

• "Share" on a quote — invokes the standard Android share sheet, which lets you choose the destination yourself.

The app itself does not send any analytics, telemetry or background requests.

5. Permissions

Verse does not request any runtime permissions. It does not access the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or any other sensitive resource.

6. Children

Verse is rated suitable for all audiences. Because we do not collect any personal information, the app complies with children's privacy regulations such as COPPA and the UK Age-Appropriate Design Code by design.

7. Third-Party Services

Verse does not embed any third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy, the updated version will replace this page and the "last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
