Privacy Policy for Smart Lamp

Privacy Policy for Smart Lamp

Effective date: October 23, 2026

[Developer name] ("we", "us") makes the Smart Lamp app for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app uses, why it uses it, and who receives it. If you have questions, write to kstvansakacs@icloud.com

1. Summary

- You don't create an account in Smart Lamp.

- The app reads and changes your Apple Home data only to show and control your lights. That data stays with Apple and on your device. We don't receive it.

- We use Adapty to process subscriptions, Firebase Analytics to understand how people use the app, and Firebase Crashlytics to fix crashes.

- We don't show ads, we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we don't sell your data.

- The app doesn't use your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or precise location.

2. Apple Home (HomeKit) data

When you allow access, the app reads the homes, rooms and accessories in your Apple Home and their state (on/off, brightness, color). The app uses this data to list your lights and let you control them. It adds rooms ("areas") and removes rooms or accessories only when you ask it to.

Apple stores this data in your Apple Home and iCloud. Smart Lamp doesn't send HomeKit data to us or to any third party, and we don't use it for advertising, analytics or data mining. You can turn off access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > HomeKit.

3. Data stored on your device

- The icon you choose for each area.

- Whether you have finished the onboarding.

- A random identifier that the app creates on first launch and keeps in the iOS Keychain. It isn't linked to your name, email or Apple ID. We use it to connect your subscription to your device.

This data stays on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes the area icons and the onboarding setting. iOS may keep the Keychain identifier until you reset your device.

4. Subscriptions (Adapty)

Apple processes all payments. We never see your card details or your Apple ID. To check whether your subscription is active and to restore purchases, the app sends Adapty:

- the random identifier described in section 3;

- your App Store transaction and subscription information: product, price, purchase and expiry dates, trial status;

- device and app information: device model, iOS version, app version, language, region and IP address.

5. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)

Firebase Analytics collects information about how you use the app: app opens, screens viewed, session length, an app instance identifier, device model, iOS version, language, and an approximate location (country or city) that Google derives from your IP address.

Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports: the state of the app and the device at the moment of a crash and an installation identifier.

We use this data to find bugs and improve the app. We don't combine it with your HomeKit data.

6. Emails to support

If you write to us, we receive your email address and what you include in the message. We use them only to answer you and keep the conversation for as long as we need it to help you.

7. Legal bases (users in the EEA and the UK)

- HomeKit access: your consent, which you give in the iOS permission dialog.

- Subscription data: performance of our contract with you.

- Analytics and crash reports: our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable and improving it.

- Support emails: answering your request.

8. How long we keep data

- HomeKit and on-device data: until you delete it, delete the app or turn off access.

- Subscription records in Adapty: while your subscription is active, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

- Firebase Analytics: up to 14 months.

- Firebase Crashlytics: 90 days.

9. Sharing

We share data only with the service providers named above, who process it for us under their own terms, and with authorities when the law requires it. We don't sell or rent personal data.

10. International transfers

Adapty and Google may process data in the United States and other countries. They protect transfers with safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to restrict or stop processing it. Email [support email]. The app doesn't ask for your name, so we may need the date of your purchase or a screenshot of your App Store receipt to find your records. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

12. Children

Smart Lamp isn't directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us data, email us and we will delete it.

13. Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version at this address and update the effective date above.
