Privacy Policy for Quolt

Privacy Policy for Quolt

Last updated: 14.06.2026

Overview

Quolt is designed to be private by default. The content you save stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not sell or share your personal data, and we never access the content you save.

Your content

Everything you save in Quolt — links, notes, images, PDFs, and other files — is stored locally on your device. If you use iCloud, your content syncs across your own devices through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) using your personal Apple account. This data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. We have no access to it, and it is never sent to our servers or any third party.

AI features

Quolt uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to generate summaries, tags, and answer questions about your saved items. This processing happens entirely on your device. Your saved content is never sent to us or any third party for AI processing.

When you save a link, Quolt fetches public metadata (such as the page title and preview image) directly from that website to display a preview. This is a standard web request.

Analytics and crash reporting

Quolt uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used (for example, which features are used most) and to detect and fix crashes. This helps us improve the app.

This analytics data does not include the content you save — your links, notes, files, and images are never sent to analytics. Firebase may collect technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, anonymous usage events, and anonymous identifiers. This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Purchases

In-app purchases (Quolt Pro) are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data.

Children

Quolt does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
