This Privacy Policy explains how MixMuse ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this document carefully.

1. Overview

MixMuse is a home-bartending guide that lets you browse cocktail recipes, mark which ingredients you own on an interactive bar shelf to see what you can make, save favorites, and keep a personal tasting journal with ratings and flavor notes. The App is designed with an offline-first approach: all personal data you enter is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We do not operate any servers that receive your data.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Account credentials or authentication tokens
• Device location or GPS coordinates (the App does not request location access)
• Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral telemetry
• Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies
• The content of your bar shelf selections, favorites, or tasting journal entries

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device using Android's local storage (DataStore) and never leaves it:

• Your bar shelf inventory (which ingredients you have marked as owned)
• Your favorite cocktails
• Your tasting journal entries (star ratings, flavor-note tags, and text notes)
• Your app preferences (theme mode, measurement units, and the mocktails-only filter)

This data remains on your device until you delete it (for example, by removing a journal entry, resetting your shelf, or uninstalling the App).

4. Network Access

MixMuse works fully offline. The App does not connect to the internet, does not call any external APIs, and does not download or upload any data. The only outbound actions are optional and user-initiated: opening this Privacy Policy in your browser, or opening your email app to contact support — both of which you trigger yourself from the Settings screen.

5. Permissions

MixMuse requests no sensitive Android permissions. It does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage.

6. Children's Privacy

MixMuse is a reference and journaling tool intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. It contains no alcohol sales, no purchasing, and no gambling. It does not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Data Security

Because all your data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted, it is protected by your device's own security measures. We recommend keeping your device secured with a screen lock.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top.
