2. Explanation of Permissions Used

- Storage: Used solely to save your local configuration settings (e.g., "Auto process" toggle state, and text-to-speech settings like speech rate, pitch, and volume) on your device.

- ActiveTab & Scripting: Used strictly to analyze Japanese text and inject HTML <ruby> tags on the page you are viewing when requested, or to process text-to-speech for selected text. No data from these web pages is recorded or shared.

- Host Permissions: Required to allow the "Auto process" feature to function across various web pages for Japanese reading practice.

3. Third-Party Services

The Extension may use your browser's built-in Web Speech API for the "Read aloud" feature. This process is handled by your browser/operating system and does not involve our infrastructure.
