Jiaox Friends ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension designed to help users analyze relationships, view mutual follower status, and manage following lists on X (formerly Twitter).
We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding user information.
1. No Data Collection or External Transmission
- Local Operation Only: Jiaox Friends operates entirely within your local browser.
- No Remote Servers: We do not own, operate, or maintain any external tracking or collection servers.
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer any user data or personal information to third parties.
2. Information Handled Locally
Any data processed by Jiaox Friends is strictly saved on your device using Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local):
- Relationship Snapshots: Locally recorded follower/following lists and diffs to help you track who followed or unfollowed you.
- Custom Preferences: Settings such as language preferences and scan speed controls.
- Exported Files: When you choose to export data (CSV or JSON), the file is generated directly in your browser and saved to your local downloads folder.
None of this data is ever sent over the internet to us or any third party.
3. Permissions Explanation
The extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:
- storage: To store your relationship snapshots and preferences locally on your machine.
- downloads: To allow you to save exported CSV/JSON reports to your computer.
- activeTab & scripting: To interact with the current X.com tab when you open the extension or start an analysis.
- Host permissions (https://x.com/*, https://twitter.com/*): Required exclusively to inspect public follower/following information on X/Twitter web pages that you are viewing.

Jiaox Friends does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertisements, or tracking SDKs.
