This Privacy Policy governs the operational data management framework implemented within the Hola VPN Proxy browser extension ("we", "our", or "us"). Our technical infrastructure is engineered strictly around principles of data minimization, localized client-side configuration, and user identity protection.

1. Single Purpose Enforcement

In strict compliance with the Chrome Web Store Single Purpose Policy, this software performs one dedicated technical function: configuring browser proxy parameters to adjust the user's virtual location and restore access to open network resources. All integrated programmatic modules, internal states, and browser permissions exist solely to support this core operation and initial setup.

2. Data Practice Disclosures and Zero-Logs Architecture

We deploy a strict zero-knowledge network framework to protect your identity and sessions:

No Registrations or Identifiers: Hola VPN Proxy does not require user registration, account creation, or the submission of any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, phone number, or email address.
No Network Logs: We do not track, collect, capture, monitor, or store records of your internet activity, browsing history, destination URLs, search queries, or data payloads.
Transient Real-Time Routing: All data processing via our proxy routing nodes is performed strictly in-memory and transiently in real-time. Traffic data simply flows through the infrastructure and is never written to persistent disk storage, text logs, or central databases.

3. Justification for Requested Permissions

The extension requests a minimal, isolated permission set to execute its standard functions:

proxy: Used exclusively to apply and modify proxy server parameters inside the browser environment based on manual user toggle.
storage: Used solely on the client side to save basic local UI states, such as the active server identifier and connection switch configuration. This data remains localized and is never synchronized to external servers.
tabs: Used strictly during the post-installation lifecycle event to automatically open a welcome onboarding tab. This introduces the user to the tool's interface and is never utilized to track ongoing browsing behaviors or monitor active tabs.

We enforce a zero-commercialization data model. We do not sell, rent, trade, lease, or distribute any technical metadata or operational information to third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or external analytics platforms. Since no log records of your online activities are created, no user data repositories exist for exposure.
