Privacy Policy for Guitar Tuner: Strobe & Cents

Intouch Apps, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") provides Guitar Tuner: Strobe & Cents (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you tune an instrument, save tuning data, export a report, or use a subscription.

Summary

The App processes instrument audio on your device to detect pitch. The current version does not send raw audio recordings to us, use them for advertising, or use them for cross-app tracking.

The App does not require you to create an account. Tuning settings, custom instruments, profiles, sessions, and measurements are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export and share a report.

Microphone and Audio Processing

The App requests microphone access when you use tuning features. Audio input is analyzed in memory on your device to estimate notes, frequency, pitch deviation, signal confidence, stability, and related tuning measurements.

The current version does not save raw microphone audio or transmit raw microphone audio to our servers or subscription service provider. You can manage microphone permission in your device settings. If microphone access is disabled, audio-based tuning features will not work.

Information Stored on Your Device

The App may store the following information locally to provide its features:

- tuner settings, reference pitch, temperament, calibration, appearance, and preferred audio input; - custom instruments, tunings, and temperaments; - instrument profiles, which may include a name, manufacturer, model, serial number, and notes that you enter; - tuning sessions, dates, selected instruments, pitch measurements, and session history; and - a limited snapshot used by the App's widget, such as the last instrument, reference pitch, temperament, and update time.

This information remains on your device in the current version. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Reports and Sharing

The App can create a tuning report as a PDF in temporary local storage. A report may contain instrument details, tuning measurements, and other information you entered. The App shares a report only when you choose a destination through the system sharing interface. The recipient or service you select handles the shared report under its own privacy practices.

Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers automatically renewing subscriptions. Payments are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.

We use Apphud to support subscription status processing and access to subscription features. Apple and Apphud may process purchase-related information and technical identifiers necessary to provide, validate, and manage subscriptions. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies:

Analytics, Advertising, and Accounts

The current version does not include third-party advertising or analytics services and does not require registration or login. We do not sell personal information or use App data for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored profiles and tuning sessions can be deleted in the App. You can remove the App's remaining locally stored data by deleting the App from your device. Reports that you export are retained by the destination you selected and must be managed there.

Apple and Apphud retain purchase and subscription information according to their own policies and legal obligations. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's features or data practices change. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do.
