Privacy Policy for GridDrop
GridDropPrivacy Policy for GridDrop
June 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GridDrop ("the Game", "we", "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this document carefully.
1. Overview
GridDrop is a casual block-placement puzzle game designed for relaxed, untimed play sessions on mobile. The Game offers a drag-and-drop wooden-block grid, full row and column clears, combo scoring, three play modes (Classic, Compact, Zen), a daily streak, eight unlockable badges, and per-mode best-score tracking. GridDrop is designed with an offline-first approach: all game progress and preferences are stored exclusively on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- Account credentials or authentication tokens
- Device location or GPS coordinates (the Game does not request location permissions)
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral telemetry
- Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies
- Your gameplay patterns, session times, or in-game choices
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device using Android's DataStore, and is never sent to any external server:
- Game progress: best score per mode (Classic, Compact, Zen), current daily streak.
- Statistics: total games played, total lines cleared, total blocks placed, best combo, and your last ten run scores.
- Achievements: which of the eight badges you have unlocked.
- Preferences: theme (Light/Dark/System), wood grain (Pine/Walnut), sound effects on/off, haptics on/off, and ghost-preview on/off.
All locally stored data remains under your full control. You may reset all progress via the Settings screen, or uninstall the Game to remove all data permanently.
4. Third-Party Services — None
The Game does not communicate with any third-party services. All gameplay, progress tracking, and features work entirely offline. This section does not apply.
5. Permissions
The Game requests the following permission(s):
- None. The Game functions entirely offline and does not declare any runtime or network permissions. Haptic feedback is provided through the standard Android view feedback API and does not require the VIBRATE permission.
The Game does NOT request:
- Location (GPS, coarse, background)
- Camera or microphone
- Contacts
- Phone state or identifiers
- SMS or call log access
- Photos, media, or file access
6. No Advertising or Analytics SDKs
GridDrop does not integrate any advertising networks (AdMob, Unity Ads, AppLovin, etc.), analytics SDKs (Firebase Analytics, GameAnalytics, Amplitude, etc.), or third-party tracking libraries. There are no ads of any kind within the Game, and no in-app purchases.
7. Children's Privacy
The Game does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the Game collects no personal information from any user, it is safe for use by all ages.
8. Data Security
Because all game progress and user-generated data is stored locally on your device, the security of that data depends on the security measures provided by the Android operating system and your device (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We do not control how Android handles on-device storage security, but we do not expose any data to external parties.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of this document bundled with a new Game release. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Game after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
