Privacy Policy for EggDrop

July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EggDrop ("the Game", "we", "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this document carefully.

1. Overview

EggDrop is a casual barnyard arcade game designed for short play sessions on mobile. The Game has you slide a nest left and right to catch falling eggs and brood while dodging junk, with a Corn economy, unlockable nests, achievement "Brood Badges", and score/combo tracking. EggDrop is designed with an offline-first approach: all game progress and preferences are stored exclusively on your device.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
  • Account credentials or authentication tokens
  • Device location or GPS coordinates (the Game does not request location permissions)
  • Your gameplay patterns, session times, or in-game choices
  • Contacts, photos, media, camera, or microphone data

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using Android's DataStore, and is never sent to any external server:

  • Game progress: Corn balance, best score, best combo, total eggs caught, total runs, golden eggs, hazards dodged.
  • Unlocks: which nests you own and which is equipped, which Brood Badges you have claimed.
  • Preferences: theme (System / Day Barn / Night Barn), sound effects on/off, rumble on/off, calm-coop mode, and mirror-barnyard setting, all stored via Android DataStore.

All locally stored data remains under your full control. You may reset all progress via the Settings screen, or uninstall the Game to remove all data permanently.

4. Third-Party Services

The core gameplay, progress tracking, and all features work entirely offline. The Game does not send your game data to our servers.

5. Permissions

The Game declares the following permissions:

  • `android.permission.INTERNET` and `android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE` — reserved for connectivity checks and standard delivery/diagnostic functionality. No personal game data is transmitted for gameplay.
  • `android.permission.VIBRATE` — used only to produce short local vibration feedback on catch and crash. This permission does not access any information.
  • `com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID` — declares access to the Android advertising identifier as required by Google Play policy for apps in this distribution configuration. The advertising identifier is a resettable, non-personal device identifier that you can reset or limit at any time in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

The Game does NOT request location, camera, microphone, contacts, phone state, SMS, or file/media access.

6. Advertising and Analytics

EggDrop does not display ads within the gameplay experience and contains no in-app purchases.

7. Children's Privacy

The Game does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.

8. Data Security

Because game progress and preferences are stored locally on your device, the security of that data depends on the security measures provided by the Android operating system and your device (screen lock, encryption, etc.).

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of this document bundled with a new Game release. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
