This Privacy Policy explains how DropStreak ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this document carefully.

1. Overview

DropStreak is a gamified habit and goal tracker where every daily check-in drops a ball down a Plinko-style peg board to earn multiplier points and grow your streaks. The App allows you to create goals, perform daily "drops" (check-ins), earn multiplier points, build streaks, rate and annotate each drop, and view progress statistics. The App is designed with an offline-first approach: all personal data you enter is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Account credentials or authentication tokens
• Device location or GPS coordinates (the App never requests location access)
• Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral telemetry
• Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies
• The content of your goals, drop logs, notes, or ratings

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using Android's DataStore, and is never sent to any external server:

• Goals: name, emoji, category, color, risk level, target streak, current and best streak, earned points, favorite flag, created date.
• Drops (check-ins): which goal, on which day, the bucket hit, the multiplier, points earned, a five-star rating and an optional personal note.
• Preferences: theme (Light/Dark/System), reduce-motion setting, landing-haptic setting, stored via Android DataStore.

All locally stored data remains under your full control. You may delete individual goals or drops via swipe-to-delete, reset all progress in Settings, or uninstall the App to remove everything.

4. Third-Party Services — None

The App does not communicate with any third-party services. All functionality works offline. This section does not apply.

5. Permissions

The App does not request any runtime permissions. Optional landing haptics use the standard system feedback API and require no special permission; you can disable them in Settings.

The App does NOT request:

• Internet access
• Location (GPS, coarse, background)
• Contacts
• Phone state or identifiers
• SMS or call log access
• Camera, microphone, or storage

The App operates entirely in offline mode and never needs a network connection.

6. No Advertising or Analytics SDKs

DropStreak does not integrate any advertising networks, analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar), or third-party tracking libraries. There are no ads of any kind within the App.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, it is safe for use by all ages.

8. Data Security

Because all user-generated data is stored locally on your device, the security of that data depends on the security measures provided by the Android operating system and your device (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We do not control how Android handles on-device storage security, but we do not expose any data to external parties.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of this document bundled with a new App release. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
