Privacy Policy for Daily Planner: Notes & Tasks

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application "Daily Planner: Notes & Tasks", hereinafter referred to as the "Application", processes data, how such data is used, and what options users have to manage their data.
The Application is designed for creating notes, events, reminders, checklists, attaching photos and audio recordings, and viewing planned tasks in a chronological timeline and calendar.
1. Data Processed by the Application
The Application may process data voluntarily added by the user while using the Application. Most of this data is processed locally on the user's device and is not sent to the developer's servers.
1.1 Notes and User Content
The Application may process the following user-created content:
- note titles;
- note text;
- event dates and times;
- reminder times;
- recurring event settings;
- checklists and checklist items;
- selected note icons;
- selected category colors.
This information is used only to provide the note-taking, planning, reminder, checklist, search, calendar, and widget functionality of the Application.
1.2 Photos
The Application may process:
- photos taken with the device camera;
- images selected by the user from device storage;
- photos attached to notes.
Photos are stored locally on the user's device in the Application's local storage area. The developer does not receive access to photos attached to notes.
1.3 Audio Recordings
The Application may process:
- audio recordings created by the user through the built-in voice recording feature;
- audio files attached to notes.
Audio recordings are stored locally on the user's device in the Application's local storage area. The developer does not receive access to audio recordings attached to notes.
1.4 Technical Data for Advertising
If advertising is enabled in the installed version of the Application, the Application may use Yandex Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements.
The advertising SDK may process technical device data required to display ads, limit ad frequency, prevent abuse, and measure advertising performance. Such data may include device identifiers, including the advertising ID, and other technical information required for advertising functionality.
The developer does not receive access to the content of users' notes, photos, audio recordings, or checklists through the advertising SDK.
2. Where User Data Is Stored
Notes, checklists, photos, and audio recordings are stored locally on the user's device.
The Application does not create user accounts, does not require registration, and does not send notes, photos, audio recordings, or checklists created by the user to the developer's server.
Photos and audio recordings are stored in the local Application folder on the device. The local database stores only the data required for the Application to function, including note data and references to attached files.
3. How Data Is Used
User-created data is used only to provide the main functionality of the Application, including:
- creating and editing notes;
- displaying notes in a chronological timeline;
- displaying events by day;
- calendar functionality;
- search and category filtering;
- checklist functionality;
- attaching photos and audio recordings;
- playing attached audio recordings;
- showing local reminders;
- displaying the nearest upcoming event in a widget;
- sharing notes through the Android system share menu.
Technical advertising data is used only if the advertising module is enabled in the installed version of the Application. Such data may be used for:
- displaying advertisements;
- limiting ad frequency;
- measuring advertising performance;
- preventing fraud or abuse;
- supporting advertising-related functionality.
4. Sharing Data with Third Parties
The Application does not transfer note text, photos, audio recordings, or checklists to the developer.
The Application may use Yandex Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements. In this case, the advertising SDK may independently process and transmit technical device data to a third-party advertising platform for ad delivery and related advertising functions.
Such data may include:
- device advertising ID;
- device or other identifiers;
- technical device information;
- data required to display, measure, and protect advertisements.
The developer does not receive access to the content of users' personal notes, photos, audio recordings, or checklists through the advertising SDK.
5. Sharing Notes Through Other Applications
The user may choose to share a note, photo, or audio recording through the Android system share menu, for example via a messenger, email application, or another third-party application.
Such sharing is initiated only by the user. The user independently selects the recipient and the application used for sharing.
After the data is transferred to the selected third-party application, further processing of that data is governed by the privacy policy of that third-party application.
6. Android Permissions
The Application may request the following Android permissions to provide specific features.
6.1 Notifications
Used to show reminders about scheduled events.
6.2 Exact Alarms and Reminders
Used to trigger reminders at the exact time selected by the user.
6.3 Microphone
Used only when the user records an audio note. Recording starts only after the user performs the corresponding action.
6.4 Camera
Used only when the user chooses to take a photo and attach it to a note.
6.5 Access to Images or Files
Used only when the user selects an image or file to attach to a note.
6.6 Internet
May be used by the advertising SDK to load advertising materials and perform advertising-related functions.
The Application does not request access to contacts, SMS, phone calls, device location, or the system calendar.
7. Data Storage and Deletion
The user may delete notes, checklists, photos, and audio attachments inside the Application.
The user may also delete all local Application data by:
- clearing the Application data in Android system settings;
- uninstalling the Application from the device.
After the Application is uninstalled, the local database, notes, and files stored in the Application's local folder are deleted from the device by the Android operating system.
For privacy-related questions or deletion requests related to data processing by the Application, the user may contact the developer using the contact information provided on the Application's page in the app store.
8. Data Security
The Application stores user-created data locally on the device. Access to this data is protected by the security mechanisms of the Android operating system.
The developer does not have remote access to users' notes, photos, audio recordings, or checklists.
Technical advertising data processed by the advertising SDK may be transmitted over a network using secure transmission protocols provided by the advertising SDK and related services.
The user is responsible for protecting their device, including the use of screen lock, password, PIN code, biometric authentication, or other Android security features.
9. Children's Data
The Application is not specifically intended for children and does not contain features designed to knowingly collect personal data from children.
If a user believes that a child's data has been stored in the Application, such data can be deleted manually inside the Application or by clearing the Application data through Android system settings.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
The developer may update this Privacy Policy when Application features change, new functionality is added, the list of SDKs changes, or legal and app store requirements are updated.
The current version of this Privacy Policy is published through the link provided on the Application's page in the app store.
