This Privacy Policy explains how CoopKeeper ("the App", "we", "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this document carefully.

1. Overview

CoopKeeper is a playful chore and task tracker where completing your daily chores earns eggs and corn coins that you spend to grow a little virtual coop. The App allows you to add, edit and delete chores, mark them done each day, build streaks toward a daily goal, spend earned eggs and coins on coop upgrades and decorations, and view a weekly report of your progress. The App is designed with an offline-first approach: all personal data you enter is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Account credentials or authentication tokens
• Device location or GPS coordinates (the App never requests location permission)
• Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral telemetry
• The content of your chores, notes, ratings, or coop progress

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using Android's DataStore, and is never sent to any external server:

• Chores: chore name, optional note, coop zone, effort level, egg reward, repeat-daily flag, completion count, last-done date and your "how it felt" rating.
• Farm progress: eggs, corn coins, coop level, current and best streak, totals, owned shop items and a daily egg log used for the weekly chart.
• Preferences: theme (Follow system / Daylight / Late-night road), pop sounds, haptic feedback, feather-burst effects, and your daily goal — stored via Android DataStore.

All locally stored data remains under your full control. You may swipe to delete individual chores, use "Reset the farm" in Settings to clear everything, or uninstall the App to remove all data.

4. Third-Party Services

The App does not retrieve any personal content from third-party services and works fully offline for all of its features. No user-generated content, chores, or progress data is ever sent off your device.

5. Permissions

The App declares the following permissions:

• `android.permission.INTERNET` and `android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE` — used only to check connectivity and support standard Android networking. No personal data is transmitted.
• `com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID` — declared for Google Play compliance regarding the advertising identifier. The App itself does not show ads and does not use this identifier to track you.

The App does NOT request:

• Location (GPS, coarse, background)
• Contacts
• Phone state or identifiers
• SMS or call log access
• Camera, microphone, or storage access

6. No Advertising or Analytics SDKs

CoopKeeper does not integrate any advertising networks, analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar), or third-party tracking libraries. There are no ads of any kind within the App.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App collects no personal information from any user, it is safe for use by all ages.

8. Data Security

Because all user-generated data is stored locally on your device, the security of that data depends on the security measures provided by the Android operating system and your device (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We do not expose any data to external parties.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of this document bundled with a new App release. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
