CinderleapPrivacy Policy for Cinderleap
July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cinderleap ("the Game", "we", "our") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this document carefully.
1. Overview
Cinderleap is a casual arcade bounce-climber game designed for short play sessions on mobile. Players steer a molten ember that bounces up crumbling ledges out of an erupting crater while outrunning a rising tide of lava, collecting gems, riding geysers and dodging falling bombs. The Game offers endless ascent with altitude zones, an ember-glow shop, achievements, a daily challenge, and detailed stats. Cinderleap is designed with an offline-first approach: all game progress and preferences are stored exclusively on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
- Account credentials or authentication tokens
- Device location or GPS coordinates (the Game does not request location permissions)
- Crash reports or behavioural telemetry tied to your identity
- The contents of your gameplay — your heights, runs, embers and progress never leave your device
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Cinderleap stores the following on your device only, using Android's local preferences storage:
- Your best height and run statistics (total runs, gems collected, geysers ridden, bombs dodged, crystals grabbed)
- Your ember currency balance, owned and equipped ember glows
- Unlocked achievements and daily-challenge progress
- Settings (theme, sound, haptics, reduce-motion)
This data never leaves your device and is removed if you clear the app's data, use the in-game "Reset progress" option, or uninstall the Game.
4. Advertising ID
The Game declares the Android advertising ID permission (`com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID`). The advertising ID is a resettable, non-permanent identifier provided by Google Play services. Where it is used, it is used solely for install attribution and aggregate analytics — that is, to measure how many people install the Game and which campaign an install came from. It is never linked to personal information, never used to build a profile of you, and never used to serve targeted advertising inside the Game.
You remain in control of it: you can reset the advertising ID, or delete it entirely, at any time under Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device.
Cinderleap contains no advertising networks and shows no ads of any kind, and has no in-app purchases. The climb itself is fully playable with no connection at all.
5. Permissions
The Game declares the following permissions:
- `com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID` — access to the resettable advertising ID, for the install attribution and aggregate analytics described in section 4.
- `android.permission.INTERNET` — network access, used only for that attribution/analytics reporting. No gameplay data, progress, or personal information is transmitted.
- `android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE` — to check whether a network connection is available before attempting the above.
The Game requests no sensitive permissions: no location, camera, microphone, contacts, phone identifiers, SMS, or access to your photos, media or files. Haptic feedback uses the standard Android view feedback system and can be turned off in Settings.
6. Children's Privacy
Cinderleap does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of this document.
