PDF Converter (“the App”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect (and don’t collect) and how the App handles your files.

1. What we collect

No personal data: We do not collect, store, or track personal information about you (no names, emails, advertising IDs, or analytics identifiers).
User-provided files: You select documents/images for conversion or compression. These files are processed only to provide the requested functionality.

2. Access to your files and photos

On-device access: The App requests access to your files and/or photo library so you can pick content for processing. Your content stays on the device unless you start a conversion that requires server-side processing or explicitly choose to share/export it.
Server-side conversions (CloudConvert): For certain formats, the App uploads the selected file(s) to our processor CloudConvert solely to perform the conversion you requested. Files are transmitted over HTTPS. We do not use your files for any other purpose.
On-device features: Some features (e.g., Image to PDF) run entirely on your device and do not upload your content.

3. Third-party processing (CloudConvert)

Role: CloudConvert acts as our service provider/processor for conversions that require server-side processing.
Retention: Files are kept by the processor only as long as necessary to complete the conversion and deliver the result, after which they are deleted according to the processor’s policies.
Links: If you open or export results to other apps or services, their privacy practices apply.

4. Data retention

We do not maintain a user database. Converted results are saved only where you choose (on your device or a location you select). You can delete them at any time.

5. Security

We use secure network connections (HTTPS) for server-side conversions and design the App to minimize data movement. Keep your device updated and protected.

6. Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction).

7. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data about you, typical data-subject requests (access, deletion, etc.) generally do not apply. If you have questions, contact us.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. The latest version will always appear here with the updated “Effective date.”
