This Privacy Policy describes how PDF Converter (“App”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information when you use the App. By installing or using the App, you consent to the practices described here.

PDF files and related assets you choose to convert, merge, compress, scan, reorder, annotate, or run OCR on
By default, processing occurs on-device. Certain features may use secure third-party processors to complete your request (e.g., heavy conversions or OCR). Temporary copies may be created solely to perform the task. We do not use your documents to train models or for unrelated purposes.

c) Automatically collected diagnostics

Device information (model, OS version, app version)
Usage metrics (e.g., session duration, feature usage counts)
Crash/diagnostic reports (without direct personal identifiers)

2. How We Use Information

To operate core features (PDF conversion, OCR, compression, export)
To maintain and improve performance, reliability, and security
To communicate critical notices, updates, or support responses
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use

3. Processing & Storage of Documents

We aim to process documents on your device whenever practical.
If you enable or request cloud-backed features, a trusted processor may receive your file only to fulfill your action (e.g., converting a large file).
Temporary working files may be created; these are deleted after processing or within a reasonable time.
You are responsible for backing up your documents.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed:

Service Providers: Analytics, diagnostics, error logging, or processing partners under strict confidentiality and data-protection commitments.
Legal/Compliance: When required by law, lawful requests, or to protect our rights and users.
Business Transfers: If we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

If you request a refund for an in-app purchase, we may provide the app store (e.g., Apple) with a limited, de-identified set of usage details solely to verify and process your request. This may include:

Time elapsed since installation
Aggregate app usage duration
An anonymous device/account token
Non-content usage records (e.g., number of conversions/exports)
Transaction amounts and reference IDs

We do not share your name, email, document contents, or payment card details for this purpose.

8. Your Choices & Rights

You can disable analytics/crash reporting where supported by your device settings or within the App (if available).
You may request access, correction, or deletion of certain information by contacting us (subject to legal obligations and technical feasibility).
You can manage in-app purchase refunds through the app store’s processes.

9. Data Retention

We retain diagnostic and analytics data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. Temporary processing copies of documents are deleted after completion of your requested operation or within a reasonable period.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates take effect when posted in the App or otherwise communicated. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
