Glucare

Last updated: July 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Glucare (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Glucare mobile application (the “App” or “Service”).

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who we are

Glucare is an information-logging application that helps you track glucose-related readings, medications, reminders, and related wellness data.

Contact: crazyfocusapps@icloud.com

2. Important medical notice

Glucare is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Data you enter — including answers about diabetes, medications, or insulin — is for personal logging, app personalization, and product analytics only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.

3. Information we collect

A. Information you provide

  • Health and wellness logs you enter in the App (for example: glucose, insulin, A1C, weight, blood pressure, carbohydrates, notes, mood/tags, and similar records)
  • Medication information you add (for example: name, form, dose, notes, reminder schedule, optional photo)
  • Reminder preferences
  • Onboarding / survey answers (for example: whether you have diabetes, diabetes type, whether you take pills/medication, insulin-related answers, goals, and similar questions)
  • App settings (units, language, appearance, notification preferences)

B. Information collected automatically

  • Device identifiers (including a randomly generated app user/device ID used to connect analytics and paywall systems)
  • App usage events (screens viewed, buttons tapped, feature usage, onboarding steps, paywall interactions)
  • Device and app technical data (for example: device model, OS version, app version, language, crash/diagnostic-related signals provided by analytics SDKs)
  • Approximate location derived from IP address by analytics providers (we do not request precise GPS location for this purpose)
  • Subscription and purchase-related events (for example: paywall shown, trial start, subscription start/cancel) via Apple StoreKit and our paywall provider

C. Information from Apple and connected services (with your permission)

  • Apple Health (HealthKit): if you enable sync, we may read and/or write supported health data such as blood glucose and related types you authorize, to import or save readings
  • Bluetooth glucose meters: if you pair a compatible meter, glucose readings may be imported onto your device
  • CGM / Apple Health bridge: CGM data may enter the App indirectly through Apple Health when you enable sharing

We only access HealthKit / Bluetooth data after you grant permission, and only for the features you enable.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide core App features (logging, charts, reminders, medications, exports you request)
  • Personalize onboarding and in-app experience
  • Operate A/B tests and paywalls
  • Analyze product usage and improve the App
  • Measure subscription funnels and feature adoption
  • Troubleshoot issues and maintain security/reliability
  • Comply with legal obligations

5. Health data and analytics

Some information you provide is health-related, including:

  • glucose and related readings;
  • medication/insulin logging;
  • onboarding answers about diabetes status, diabetes type, medications/pills, insulin, and similar topics.

This health-related information may be sent to our analytics provider (Mixpanel) and may also be processed by our paywall/onboarding provider (Superwall) when you complete surveys or interact with onboarding/paywall flows.

We use this data for:

  • App functionality (saving your logs and settings on device; personalizing flows), and
  • Analytics (understanding which onboarding paths work, what users select, and how features are used).

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or sell it to advertising platforms.

6. Where data is stored

  • On your device: most logs, medications, reminders, and photos are stored locally on your device.
  • Off your device: analytics events, onboarding/survey answers, paywall events, and identifiers may be transmitted to Mixpanel and Superwall servers to provide analytics and subscription/onboarding features.
  • Exports you choose: if you export or share a report/CSV/PDF, the content leaves the App through the share destination you select.

7. Third-party services

We use trusted third-party services that process data on our behalf:

  • Mixpanel — product analytics (events, device/app identifiers, usage data, onboarding answers, and selected record metadata such as record type and numeric values associated with logged events)
  • Superwall — paywalls, experiments/A/B tests, and remote onboarding/survey flows
  • Apple — App Store, StoreKit subscriptions, push notifications, HealthKit, and system permissions

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and only as needed to provide their services to us.

8. Tracking and advertising

We use analytics to improve the App.

We do not use your health data for third-party advertising networks.

If in the future we enable cross-app tracking that requires Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission, we will request your permission first.

9. Data sharing

We may share information:

  • with service providers listed above (Mixpanel, Superwall, Apple);
  • if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer (with notice where required).

We do not share HealthKit data with third parties for advertising or data-broker purposes.

10. Data retention

  • Local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the App or delete the App.
  • Analytics and paywall-related data may be retained by our providers for as long as needed for analytics, subscription operations, debugging, and legal compliance, and then deleted or aggregated according to their retention practices.
  • You can request deletion of analytics profile data associated with your app identifier by contacting us (see Contact).

11. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

13. Your choices

You can:

  • decline optional permissions (Health, Bluetooth, notifications);
  • skip or avoid answering optional onboarding questions where the flow allows;
  • disable Health sync in settings;
  • delete records/medications in the App;
  • delete the App to remove local data;
  • contact us to request access/deletion help for analytics identifiers we control.

14. International processing

Your information may be processed on servers in different countries (including where Mixpanel and Superwall operate). Where required, providers offer regional data residency options; our analytics may be configured for a specific region (for example, EU).

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
