This Privacy Policy describes how Party Roast (the "Application") collects, uses, and shares information when you download and use our iOS mobile application. The Application is provided by the developer at avfapps@gmail.com (the "Service Provider") as a free app with optional in-app purchases. The service is provided "AS IS."

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Information You Provide

When you use the Application, you may voluntarily provide:

- Names you enter (for example, when creating a photo roast or battle)

- Photos taken with the camera or selected from your photo library

- Chat screenshots you upload for chat roast features

- Content you choose to share (for example, roast results or images saved to your photo library)

The Application does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address to use its core features.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Application, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, such as:

- Device type and operating system version

- App version and language/locale settings

- General usage data related to app functionality (for example, onboarding completion, in-app currency balance, and locally stored history)

- Internet Protocol (IP) address and other network information when the Application connects to our servers

This information is used to operate the Application, process AI requests, deliver remote configuration, and maintain app functionality.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

The Application:

- Does not collect precise location data

- Does not require user registration

- Does not knowingly collect email addresses or user IDs unless you contact us directly

- Does not use third-party advertising SDKs (such as Facebook Ads)

- Does not use Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics in the current version of the Application

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information described above to:

- Provide core features, including:

 - Photo Roast (AI-generated humorous profiles based on photos)

 - Chat Roast (AI-generated replies based on chat screenshots)

 - Roast Battle 1v1 (AI-generated comparisons based on two photos)

- Send photos and related prompts to AI services for processing

- Store your roast history locally on your device

- Manage in-app currency ("fire" balance) and subscription access

- Load remote configuration and prompts from Firebase Storage

- Process subscriptions and restore purchases through Apple App Store

- Respond to support requests if you contact us

- Improve reliability, security, and performance of the Application

3. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) PROCESSING

The Application uses artificial intelligence technologies to provide its main features.

When you request a roast, battle result, or chat reply, the Application may send the following to AI processing services operated through Google Firebase and Google Gemini:

- Your uploaded photo(s) and/or chat screenshot(s)

- Text you provide (such as names and prompts)

- Device language/locale settings

AI-generated outputs are returned to the Application and may be saved in your local history on your device.

AI results are generated for entertainment purposes only and should not be treated as factual, professional, or personal assessments.

We do not use your content to train our own models directly through the Application. Processing by third-party AI providers is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

3.1 Face Data and Biometric Information

Some features analyze photos that may contain human faces. For App Store transparency:

What we collect:

Photos and chat screenshots you voluntarily choose to upload. These images may include facial features, appearance, and other visual information visible in the image.

What we do not collect:

We do not collect standalone biometric identifiers (such as Face ID templates), perform facial recognition to identify you or other people, build face profiles, or use face data for advertising, marketing, or user profiling.

How it is used:

Face-related visual information is processed only to generate the entertainment content you request (photo roast, chat roast, or battle comparison). It is not used for any other purpose.

Where processing happens:

Images are transmitted over an encrypted connection to Google Firebase / Google Gemini solely to fulfill your request. Party Roast does not operate its own photo storage servers and does not persist your original photos on Service Provider-controlled servers after processing is complete.

On-device storage:

AI text results and images you save may be stored locally on your device in your roast history until you delete them or uninstall the app.

Your choice:

Before the first use of AI photo features, the Application shows an in-app consent screen explaining this processing. You must enable AI Features to send photos for processing. You can decline and still browse the app, but AI photo features will not work without your consent. You may revoke consent at any time in Settings > AI Features consent; revoking stops future photo transmission to AI services.

This disclosure is provided to comply with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1 (Data Collection and Storage) and 5.1.2 (Data Use and Sharing), including requirements for third-party AI services.

4. LOCAL STORAGE ON YOUR DEVICE

The Application stores certain data locally using your device storage (UserDefaults), including:

- Roast history (photos, names, AI responses, timestamps)

- Chat roast history (screenshots and generated replies)

- Battle history (photos, names, scenario, and results)

- In-app currency balance and related app state

- Onboarding and app review prompt state

This data remains on your device unless you delete it through the Application (for example, by clearing history) or uninstall the Application.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device, strictly as needed to operate the Application.

Third-party providers used by the Application include:

- Firebase (Google) — app initialization, remote config/prompts (Storage), backend functions, and AI processing

- Google Gemini / Firebase AI Logic — AI text and image analysis/generation

- Apple App Store / StoreKit — in-app subscriptions, purchases, and purchase restoration

The Service Provider may share information with trusted service providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent right to use the information beyond providing services to us, and are required to protect it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information:

- As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process

- When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request

6. IN-APP PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

The Application offers optional Party Roast Pro subscriptions through the Apple App Store.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple may provide us with subscription status and related purchase information needed to unlock Pro features.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

7. DEVICE PERMISSIONS

The Application may request the following permissions:

- Camera — to take photos for roasts and battles

- Photo Library — to select existing photos

- Add to Photo Library — to save generated or shared images

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work without the relevant permission.

8. DATA RETENTION

- On-device data (history, balances, settings) is retained until you delete it in the app or uninstall the Application.

- Photos and screenshots sent for AI processing are transmitted only to fulfill your request. The Service Provider does not maintain a user photo gallery or long-term archive of your uploaded images on its own servers. Any temporary processing by Firebase, Cloud Functions, or Google Gemini is governed by Google's retention practices for those services.

- Server-side processing data (such as request metadata needed to operate backend functions) is handled according to our backend and third-party provider retention practices and is not used to build advertising profiles.

- We retain correspondence only as long as needed to respond to support or legal requests.

If you want to request deletion of data you have provided to us directly (for example, via email), contact us at avfapps@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. OPT-OUT RIGHTS

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process on your iOS device.

You may also:

- Clear history within the Application

- Revoke camera/photo permissions in iOS Settings

- Disable AI Features (revoke AI consent) in the Application Settings, which stops sending photos to Google Gemini

- Cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Application is not intended for children under 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it from our systems as soon as reasonably possible.

11. SECURITY

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We use reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information processed and maintained by the Service Provider and our service providers.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in countries where our third-party providers (such as Google and Apple) operate. By using the Application, you consent to such transfer and processing.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy at the same location where this policy is made available

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

14. YOUR CONSENT

By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended by us.

For AI features that send photos or screenshots to third-party AI services, we obtain your explicit in-app consent through the Enable AI Features screen before the first transmission. If you do not enable AI Features, we will not send your photos for AI processing. You may withdraw this consent at any time in Settings.
