1. General Provisions

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") describes how the "Circly" application (hereinafter referred to as "We," "Our App," "Circly") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our messenger.

Circly allows users to exchange text messages in dialogues, as well as create and send short videos ("circles"). By using our app, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

If you do not agree with the terms, please stop using the application.

2. What Information We Collect

2.1. Information Required for Operation

Contact information (email) – for registration and login to your account.
Username – for your identification in dialogues.

2.2. Data You Create While Using the App

Text messages – all dialogues you conduct in Circly are stored on our servers for delivery to recipients and synchronization across your devices.
Video circles – short video recordings you send in chats. These videos are stored on our servers for transmission to recipients.

2.3. Technical Data

IP address – established automatically when connecting to the server (standard network information).
Connection type (Wi-Fi / mobile data) – to optimize video loading.

2.4. Access to Camera and Microphone

To record video circles, the app requests access to your device's camera and microphone. Recording begins only after you press the record button. The app does not perform any hidden recording.

2.5. What Data We DO NOT Collect

The app does not collect:

user avatar;
usage logs (message timestamps, frequency of actions, etc.);
location data;
your device's contact list.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively for:

ensuring the messenger's operation (delivery of messages and circles);
synchronizing dialogues across your devices;
optimizing video loading based on your connection type.

Data is not used for marketing, advertising, profiling, or transferring to third parties for their own purposes.

4. Data Storage and Deletion

Storage period. Messages and circles are stored on our servers as long as you use the App.
Account deletion. You can delete your account at any time through the App's settings or by contacting us via email (see the "Contacts" section). After account deletion, all your messages and videos are removed from the main database within 30 days.
Deleting individual messages and circles. You can delete individual dialogues or videos. After that, they will no longer be available to other chat participants.

5. Transfer of Data to Third Parties

We do not sell your data and do not transfer it to advertising networks or analytics services.

Transfer is possible only in the following cases:

To service providers (hosting, cloud storage, push notifications). All providers are required to maintain confidentiality.
Upon lawful request from government authorities – only as provided by law.
To protect the rights and security of Circly (e.g., to investigate attacks on the service).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

access – know what data about you is stored;
rectification – change your username or contact information;
deletion – request complete deletion of your account and all data;
export – receive a copy of your dialogues in a readable format.

7. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or any other age threshold according to your country's laws). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you learn that your child is using Circly without your consent, please notify us, and we will delete their data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app message or by email. By continuing to use Circly after changes are made, you agree to the updated Policy.

9. Refund

If we receive a refund request for an in-app purchase from an end user, we reserve the right to provide Apple with information regarding the user's in-app purchase consumption. This includes the following data: app usage time, anonymous account identifier, total amount spent, and total amount refunded.
