Summary

Twice is a personal journaling app for morning and evening check-ins and reflection. All of your entries — answers, ratings, reflection texts, photos, emotions and settings — are stored only on your device. The app has no accounts and no server for your content, and we have no access to your entries.

Data stored on your device

Your entries (check-ins, 1–10 ratings, reflection texts, attached photos, chosen emotions, custom questions and settings) are saved locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. A local backup copy is kept within the app's own private storage so your data survives normal system cleanups; it never leaves the device.

Camera and photo library

If you choose to attach a photo to an entry, the app requests access to your camera or photo library. Photos you attach are stored only in the app's private on-device storage. Camera and photo access is used solely for attaching photos to your entries, and only after you grant permission.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. No reminder data is sent anywhere.

Analytics (optional, anonymous)

The app offers optional, anonymous usage analytics to help improve the product. This is what happens:

- On the first launch, the app sends a single anonymous "installed" event. It does not contain any personal information — only a randomly generated install identifier (not linked to your identity or device advertising ID), the platform, app language, app version, days since install, and a timestamp.

- All other analytics events (for example: app opened, onboarding completed, entry created) are sent only if you turn analytics on. You are asked during onboarding, and you can change this at any time in Settings.

- Analytics events never contain the content of your entries, your reflection texts, your photos, or your name.

Analytics events, when sent, are delivered through Web3Forms (web3forms.com), a form-delivery service that forwards the anonymous event to the developer. No analytics provider builds an advertising or cross-app tracking profile of you.

What we do not do

- We do not collect or transmit the content of your entries, texts or photos.

- We do not use advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking.

- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

- We do not require an account or ask you to sign in.

Deleting your data

You can erase all app data at any time in Settings using the reset option. Deletion is irreversible. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data. You can export your entries as a text file at any time from Settings.

Children

The app is rated for general audiences (4+) and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
