Privacy Policy — TaskRoket: Tab Deck
TaskRoketTaskRoket: Tab Deck is a browser extension for Google Chrome that shows open tabs as piles grouped by domain, by window, by duplicate pages or by recency, and closes the extra copies of a page or every tab of a whole pile when the user asks for it.
What the extension accesses
- The list of open tabs: addresses and titles. This is used only to draw the deck, to count tabs for the toolbar badge and to detect duplicate links.
- The extension settings you choose: the deck view (domain, window, duplicates or recency), the automatic-close switch, language and theme.
The extension does not read the content of web pages. It has no content scripts, does not inject code into pages and does not block or modify anything on the sites you visit.
What leaves your device
Nothing. The extension makes no network requests of its own, has no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising and no user accounts. All data stays inside your browser profile on your computer.
Storage and retention
Settings and a small local summary (tab counts and the list of piles) are stored in chrome.storage.local. They stay there until you change them or remove the extension. Removing the extension deletes them.
Permissions
- tabs: read the addresses and titles of open tabs to build the deck, count tabs for the badge and find duplicates.
- storage: keep your settings on the device.
The extension requests no host permissions and no access to page content.
Third parties
No data is sold, transferred or shared with third parties. No third-party services are used by the extension.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page.
