TaskRoket: Form Memo ("the extension") is a browser extension that remembers the structure of a form once and fills it in later with one click. This policy explains exactly what the extension reads, where that data goes, and what it never does.

What the extension reads and stores

The extension reads the content of the web page you are currently viewing, but only to find form fields: input elements, their labels, their order, and the values you type into them. This is how a form template is recorded and how it is filled in later.

When you save a template, the extension stores the field structure and the values you chose to save. Templates, settings and the interface language are stored with chrome.storage.local inside your own browser profile. Nothing is uploaded: the extension has no server, no account, and no sync backend.

The extension does not read passwords, does not record keystrokes outside form fields, and does not build a history of the pages you visit.

How the data is used

Saved templates are used for one purpose only: to fill a form you ask it to fill. Settings control the behaviour of the extension (for example, whether it highlights detected fields). The interface language is stored so the extension opens in the language you picked.

Where the data is stored

All data stays on your device, in the local storage area of the extension inside your Chrome profile. It is not transmitted to TaskRoket or to anyone else. There is no remote database and no backup copy.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent or transfer your data to third parties. The extension contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no telemetry. It loads no remote code and makes no network requests to external servers: every file it needs is packaged inside the extension.

If you export a template to a file yourself, that file is created on your device and is under your control.

How long data is kept and how to delete it

Data is kept until you delete it. You can remove a single template in the extension settings, clear everything with the "Clear" action, or remove all data at once by uninstalling the extension. Uninstalling deletes the extension's local storage.

Your rights

Because the data never leaves your device, you already have full control over it: you can view, export, change and delete it at any time in the settings page. If you believe you need a copy of something held about you, contact us — but in practice the only copy is the one in your browser.

Permissions and why they are needed

extension must be able to detect and fill fields wherever you use it. The content script runs only on the page in the active tab, only when you open the extension or press its keyboard shortcut, and it only looks at form fields.

  • Access to all websites (`<all_urls>`) — a form can appear on any site, so the
  • `storage` — keeps your templates and settings locally, as described above.
  • Keyboard shortcut (`Ctrl+Shift+M`) — opens the form picker on the current page.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Limited Use

The extension's use of information received from Google APIs and from web pages adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the single purpose described above (remembering and filling forms). It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not transferred to third parties except as needed to provide that single purpose — in this extension, never.

Children

The extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If the extension starts doing something new with data, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes will also be described in the extension's changelog before the update is published.
