Privacy Policy — FonScore

FonScore ("the app", "we", "us") is a sports‑score app for following live football and ice‑hockey results. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.

Summary
- We do not require an account. There is no sign‑up, login, or profile.
- We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
- Everything you create in the app stays on your device.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the following locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to us and we cannot see it:
- Saved items — teams, leagues, players, matches and hockey teams you bookmark.
- Score Memory Vault — the photos you add and the notes, titles, tags, ratings and personal locations you write. Photos are kept in the app's private storage.
- Settings — your default sport, timezone, time format and preferences.
- Recent searches and a cache of recently viewed scores (so the app works offline).
This data is removed when you uninstall the app, or from within the app via Settings → Clear sports cache / Clear search history / Reset saved content, and by deleting individual Score Memories.
Camera and photos
- The camera is used only when you tap Take Photo in the Score Memory Vault, and only after you grant the camera permission. You can decline and still use the app.
- To add an existing image, the app uses Android's system Photo Picker. The app does not request broad storage permissions and does not scan your gallery.
- Photos you add stay in the app's private, app‑controlled storage. An image leaves the app only if you explicitly use the Android share sheet, and then only the single image you chose to share.
Sports data and the third‑party API
FonScore shows real sports data from API‑Sports (API‑Football and API‑Hockey, api-sports.io), a third‑party provider. To load scores, fixtures, standings and statistics, your device connects directly to API‑Sports over HTTPS. As with any internet request, standard technical information (such as your IP address and request metadata) is processed by API‑Sports and its infrastructure providers under their privacy policy: https://api-sports.io/. We do not send your personal data, your photos or your saved content to API‑Sports.
The app authenticates to API‑Sports with an API key held by the developer; this key is not associated with you and is not exposed in the interface.
Data security
All network traffic uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Your private images and notes remain in app‑controlled storage and are shared only on your explicit action.
Children
FonScore is a general‑audience sports app and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the revised policy will be published at the app's repository / listing.
