In short

Dream Hacker does not collect or transmit your personal data. Everything you record — dreams, map markers, settings — stays on your device only. We run no servers holding your entries, there are no accounts, and there is no analytics.

What data is processed

Dream entries, tags, map markers, settings. Stored locally on your device. The developer has no access to them. Deleting the app deletes them with it.

PIN and Face ID / Touch ID. The PIN is stored in the device's secure system storage (Keychain). Biometrics are handled by the operating system — the app only receives an "allowed" or "denied" answer and never sees your biometric data.

Location. Used only to open the map near you. Coordinates are not transmitted or stored anywhere, except for the markers you place yourself — those are kept locally.

Microphone and speech recognition. Used only when you tap the voice recording button yourself. Recognition is performed by the operating system; the resulting text goes into your diary on the device. Audio recordings are not stored and never reach the developer.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, share, or publish your data. The app contains no ads and no trackers.

The app contacts external services in two cases only, and without sending your personal data:

• Maps — map imagery is loaded to display the map (Apple Maps on iOS, Google Maps on Android). The map provider receives a technical request to render a map area under its own privacy policy.
• Address search — if you type an address into search, the query text is sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim geocoding service to look up coordinates. Only what you typed is sent.

Backups

The "Save backup" feature creates a file with your dreams and hands it wherever you choose (Files, cloud, messenger). The developer receives no copy.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13 and does not collect data about them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date.
