Privacy Policy — Zebra App

The Short Version

Your photos, projects, and settings stay on your device. We don't upload them.

Some features - the AI assistant, AI filters, background removal - send data to an external AI provider, but only when you tap the button that uses them. Nothing happens behind your back.

We also use Sentry to collect crash reports - technical info about errors (error message, device model, OS version) so we can fix bugs. It doesn't include your photos or projects.


What Stays On Your Device

By default, everything does: your photos, edits, saved projects, settings, and chat history with the AI assistant. We don't have a copy.


AI Features

AI Assistant - when you tap send, we forward your message, plus the recent messages of the current conversation (so the model has context), to OpenAI (GPT family). Nothing else from your device is attached.

AI Filters, Background Removal, AI Text, Image-to-Image — when you generate an image, the selected photo and your chosen style or prompt are sent to our AI processing partner to run the model.

In both cases:

  • Data is sent only when you actively trigger the feature.
  • We ask for your consent the first time and remember your choice.
  • The AI providers process your data to fulfill the request under their own terms. They may retain it briefly for abuse prevention, as described in their policies.
  • We don't store your AI requests on our servers beyond what's needed to deliver the response.

If you don't use these features, none of your data goes to any AI provider.


Third-Party Services We Use

  • OneSignal — push notifications.
  • Sentry — crash and error reports. Receives technical data about the failure. No message content, no photos.

All third-party providers listed above are bound by their own privacy policies and act as independent processors.


International Transfers

Some of the services above are based outside your country (including the United States). Where required, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards provided by those services.


Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No system is 100% secure, but we treat your data as if it were our own.


Changes

If we update this policy, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after that means you accept the changes.
