Multi Clipboard is built with a 100% privacy-first design. All copied text and clipboard content is stored exclusively on your local device within browser storage. We do not operate external servers, collect personal data, or transmit your clipboard items anywhere.

1. Information Collection & Storage

Multi Clipboard saves text snippets and formatted content that you explicitly copy while browsing. This data is saved locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API.

• No Remote Data Transmission: None of your copied text, URLs, or browser data is ever sent to external servers or third parties.

• No Tracking or Analytics: We do not track your browsing history, analytics, or user behavior.

2. Permissions Usage

• storage: Used to store your saved clipboard history locally on your device.

• clipboardRead & clipboardWrite: Used to capture copied items and paste selected items back into your active window.

• downloads: Used only when you manually request to export your clipboard history to a local .txt file.

• host_permissions (<all_urls>): Used to detect web copy actions so snippets can be saved automatically.

3. Data Eviction & User Control

You have total control over your clipboard history:

• You can delete individual items or clear your entire history at any time using the "Clear All" button.

• Clipboard entries are capped at 500 items to conserve local device storage.

• Uninstalling the extension instantly removes all stored clipboard history from your device.
