Of course, responsiveness doesn’t lie solely with JS development. There are also user interface (UI) and user exchange (UX) designs to think about. Well-designed UI and UX will also help the responsiveness of a website. The UI is a matter of the physical structure of the website. Notice the use of structure rather than design. That is because it’s really more than just something that is attractive. It’s also the proper use of design components. 

A great UI design uses the appropriate attractive colors. This means that it’s not just attractive in general but also attractive in the practical sense. It is also well-suited to the business at hand. There is also typography to consider. The fonts used should be legible as well as appealing. 

On the other hand, the UX design is about function and maneuverability. This goes hand in hand with the UI. It doesn’t matter how great the UI design is if the UX design leaves a lot to be desired. The crux of the UX design is that the user will have an easy time navigating the page. If they are having a fun time doing it, that’s even better!

Let’s go back to Mara. She would definitely enjoy navigating a website with a great UI design. It would be so easy to be attracted to the products when everything is set out well. Who knows? She might even buy more than just a pair of shoes. When the site has a great UX design, it means that Mara will have an easy time putting stuff in her online cart. Not only that, it should be very efficient in terms of checking out the cart as well as payment. 

When a business makes it easy for Mara, chances are she will be doing business with the site again and again. It’s exactly just like anyone who likes a product or a service of a particular store. McDonald’s, for example, makes delicious and crispy fries. People will go back to the fast-food chain, again and again, just to buy the fries. 

Great website

An efficient website translates to sales. Of course, it’s a given that you have a great product or service to sell. Great product or service plus a great website can be equated to success. There are also other important components that make a great website. For example, you need a good domain name. There are various reasons for this. It’s essential that the domain name is related to the actual business name. 

However, there may be cases where the domain name is already taken. You have to find a way that your choice will still be related to the business while also easy to search for SEO purposes. Don’t play with domain names. You want something that is easy to spell so as not to confuse people or users. Also, use “.com” as much as possible because it’s more popular to people. 

Oh, another important reminder: avoid numbers and other special characters. Why? You might confuse people when you have to vocalize your domain name. For example, your domain name is Buy123. When somebody asks for your website, you will answer them: buy one two three. As a result, they may type buyonetwothree dot com. That’s why, you have to just avoid confusing people at all costs.

Now, as to the homepage, make sure the first page or the banner part is clear about what you do. You don’t want people going into your website and actually getting confused--again, avoid confusing people. 

Let’s go by the Mara example. Say you are in the business of selling shoes. You can’t put animals on your banner page or people would be confused. In some cases, people might just browse to confirm they are on the right page. 

However, there are impatient people who might just leave the page right away. Just because cats are cute doesn’t mean you have to use them as a way to entice people. Your target audience might not get it. 

That goes to all the pages of the website. Each page should be clear about what your business is about.
