Location & International Working Model
This position is advertised in Luxembourg for recruitment purposes. However, BLEUMOTION operates internationally and supports clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Applications are welcomed from experienced professionals based anywhere in Europe or internationally. Depending on the nature of each engagement, work may be performed remotely, from client locations or alongside the BLEUMOTION executive team.
Regular international travel should be expected together with the flexibility to support sovereign advisory assignments across multiple regions.
The Opportunity
As a Principal Consultant, you will work directly with BLEUMOTION's executive leadership on strategic assignments involving governments, regulators, central banks, financial market infrastructures, stock exchanges, central securities depositories, financial institutions and institutional investors.
Depending on your expertise, you may lead strategic workstreams, contribute recognised subject-matter expertise or support the design and implementation of institutional, operational and market infrastructure frameworks.
Our assignments require sound commercial judgement, deep industry expertise, intellectual rigour and the ability to engage confidently with senior decision-makers across both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead or contribute to complex strategic advisory assignments involving sovereign financial market infrastructure and capital markets.
* Advise governments, regulators and financial market infrastructures on institutional strategy, governance frameworks and operating models.
* Develop strategic assessments, executive reports, Board papers and executive decision-support documentation.
* Support the design, transformation and implementation of post-trade infrastructure, global custody and capital market ecosystems.
* Challenge proposed operating models and contribute practical industry insight drawn from real-world implementation experience.
* Participate in executive workshops, strategic discussions and senior stakeholder meetings.
* Conduct strategic analysis, benchmarking and market assessments.
* Prepare high-quality presentations and written deliverables for executive and Board-level audiences.
* Contribute to programme governance, implementation planning and institutional transformation initiatives.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and internationally recognised subject-matter experts.
* Represent BLEUMOTION with professionalism, discretion and the highest ethical standards.
Ideal Experience
We are seeking experienced professionals who have held senior leadership or executive responsibility for the design, operation, transformation or governance of financial market infrastructure and capital market institutions.
Candidates may have built, operated, regulated or transformed financial market infrastructure throughout their careers and may come from:
* Financial Market Infrastructures (CSDs, CCPs and Exchanges)
* Central Banks
* Financial Regulators
* Global Custodians and Securities Services Providers
