Princess Eugenie Reveals Her Baby's Name, Inspired by Prince William's Grandfather

Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, finally made the public name of their first child, Mother. The cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry named his baby boy, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

This was revealed in the @theroyalfamily Instagram account. A photo showing Princess Eugenie and her husband holding the little one was uploaded on Instagram on Saturday (20/02/2021).

"Her Illustrious Height Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank have declared that they have named their child August Philip Hawke Brooksbank," reads the inscription accompanying the photo.

In their post, Princess Eugenie and Jack also thanked them for the congratulations and prayers they had received. Meanwhile, in her Instagram Story, Princess Eugenie revealed that her baby's name is a form of respect for Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, whose birth name is Franz Albert August Karl Emanuel, and Prince Philip, who is currently being treated in hospital.

"On his granddad's birthday end of the week, thinking about my granddad, we are presenting our son. He is named after his extraordinary granddad and both of his 5x incredible granddads," wrote Putri Eugenie.

For you to know, Princess Eugenie gave birth to a baby boy at The Portland Emergency clinic, London, England, on February 9, 2021, local time. During childbirth, Princess Eugenie was accompanied by her husband.

The tiny baby was born weighing 8 lbs 1 oz or 3.6 kilograms. This happy news was greeted with joy by Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, and parents of Jack Brooksbank.

August Philip Hawke Brooksbank is the first child of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, as well as the first grandson of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
