My favorite choice for color photography on my Fujifilm X100F is Classic Chrome, but sometimes something more bold and punchy is needed. Velvia 50 film has exaggerated colors and high contrast and a slight green cast with warm yellows. Velvia 100 is very similar to Velvia 50 but with a slight purple cast.

And of course later, Velvia 100 (different from 100F) would be introduced in 2005 to replace Velvia RVP due to difficulty in sourcing raw materials - to the sadness of many people. The Velvia film simulation (a.k.a. Velvia/Vivid) is named after the Velvia line of slide films by Fujifilm. Back in the film days, Velvia was a popular choice for vibrant landscapes, with it's over-the-top wild colors.

I've been shooting Fuji cameras since their revival in 2011 with the original X100 — easily my most favorite feature unique to Fujifilm cameras is their excellent film simulations. Today I want to cover some of my favorite Velvia settings on my new Fuji XT3— I love Velvia because its characteristics most closely match my style — rich, vibrant, saturated colors and nice strong contrast.
This film has amazing color, super fine grain, and much better tonal transitions and exposure latitude than Velvia 100 which means to does better in contrasty light.

Fujifilm had four lines of Fujichrome color reversal (slide) film that were given brand names: Velvia, Provia, Astia, and Sensia. The other slide films that they produced over the years weren't given fancy names, only more utilitarian designations like 100D or 64T.
