We love this show so much. This collection is great with some fun special features.

Absolutely riveting, although season 3 has a few more flaws than 1 and 2 did. While season 3 continues to keep your heartstrings in a death grip, I feel as if I must deduct a star for several reasons. First of all, Barry (Flash) seems to be the slowest Speedster in any universe, often the receiver of brutal punishment from everyone, even getting tranquilized by normal humans at one point. There is only so much Barry Bashing one can enjoy. Another reason is the gigantic 4th wall plot holes that make this whole season really pointless. We are shown in previous seasons (and in this one) that other Speedsters (Jay, Reverse Flash, et al) time travel at will, indeed they speak of it like it is a common practice and only Barry does not know how to do it without altering the time line, yet none of them take 3 minutes to teach him how to safely time travel. This for me is a huge problem since the entire plot argument this season is how not only is his entire team and all his friends blaming him and/or hating him for altering the timeline (yet none of them would have known the difference had he not opened his big fat mouth and told them all about it). That, combined with his palpable self-loathing, self-pity, and constant brooding over every tiny little thing just makes this season ... slightly harder to watch. Combine all of that with Kaitlyn's fear of her new powers and how NOBODY is trying to teach her not to fear them and/or train her. (yeah that's kind of important) as well as Cisco's powers (why isn't he training??) Well.. yeah you get the picture. It's all about Barry. And Iris. Barris if you will. Which is actually a very nice romance and i have nothing bad to say about that, although i would not have complained had he dated Kaitlyn at some point.

I have put off writing this review for some time. I seldom give a 2 star review, but I simply couldn't watch any more. And, be very aware, the 2 stars come solely due to my belief that there are more than a few very good actors in this cast. I have been a big fan of Jesse L. Martin for a long time and have fund several others I will be anxious to see in the future. So with that said, why a 2 star? My biggest issue is since when did the Flash become the Flush. If there is a drought somewhere, send this Flash to the rescue. Never have I seen a superhero turn on the waterworks as much as this character does. Has a single episode gone by without the CW version of Niagara Falls? I get it, even a superhero should be able to embrace his emotions. But, could maybe he embrace something else other than his apparent self loathing and constant pity party? How this Flash gets 4 and 5 star reviews I don't know. Maybe those are coming from people fortunate enough to step away and miss huge blocks of the show. A close second with that is my issue with the relationship between Barry and Iris. Some major breaks with canon there, but I can allow that. Politically correct and all that. But does anyone else get the vbe that Iris treats Barry like a old shoe most of the time, an that usually gets his crying started. "Barry, you lied to me." "boo hoo but Iris.... " Barry, you keep secrets from me." boo hoo, but Iris..." "Barry, I didn't ask you to save my life." boo hoo, but Iris..." Okay so maybe I am taking a lot of dialog out, but that's pretty much what I get from about half their interactions. Honestly, I can't imagine a real man wanting to deal with a woman like that. There is this thing called a partnership but all I see is Iris is wearing the pants and Barry is looking for tissue. And, the real kicker....they are only just barely a couple in the most recent episodes. Prior to that he merely wanted to be with her. Are there men out there that can be whipped even before they get to anything that might be memorable? Third and hard to digest but I made an effort...canon come, canon go. It feels like the writers keep what they want, toss the rest, but there doesn't seem to be any rhythm or reason in what they keep or toss. Case in point. Linda Park was Wally West's significant other. Not a short romance of Barry Allen's. If you planned to introduce Wally West, why not save Linda Park for that? Oh, and while tossing canon for no apparent reason, let's make Wally the long lost, unknown brother of Iris instead of her nephew. Yeah, cause as a long lost, unknown brother iris can take it out on her dad. Another great chance for the evil witch to bare down on a lowly man. Wait, maybe they do have reasons for the things they are doing. Like making every possible attempt to emasculate males. Seriously now as I think about it through 2 episodes in season 3 I can't recall a single male character that actually came across as strong or a single female character that cam across as weak for more than a moment. Not saying there should be weal females, but why make all the men so weak almost constantly. Dr. Wells was fairly average in my opinion in the strength category, so they needed to fix that by bringing in his daughter. Good job there CW. I can't say any more. This was one of my childhood heroes. Flash and Lantern and Arrow and Superman and all of them. The comics I grew up loving were about heroes doing heroic things, not about some whiny effete nobody looking for his next cue to cry. Sure there were others involved, some strong, loving, caring, but they weren't there to override the story with their own story of superiority. I am most upset about the tone and content of the Barry/Iris relationship. After seeing Barry send a little time with Patty Spivot, why would any man drop her for what he has now? Even if it was breaking canon, who in his right mind dumps Linda Park for Girlfriend Dearest? Writers, drop whatever the agenda is and just entertain. This is NOT the Flash. Let me introduce you to the Flush.

so here we are a 3rd season of the flash which I personally only watch to keep up with the continuity of the series as a whole since they take arks from both arrow and legends, this season is good and personally I find this season to be a fairly solid season with the friends turned enemies and the whole flashpoint issue but there is where the story falls apart as well, since all 3 main shows somewhat are all linked but at the same time separate they don't change all that much with barry and his time travel mishaps, arrow gets a change of a baby and legends gets well nothing as there whole show is about time travel which I wont get into since that is a mess all of its own, this season of flash had one of the better match ups thus far which at the time of airing was billed as a 4 day epic crossover mesh, sadly when they aired part 1 which was super girl first there was nothing to linking the 4 parter at all there and worse yet now is they actually in the episode lists that come in the inserts flat out say that part 1 is the flash episode which granted that makes sense as supergirl was only dragged truly into the crossover due to flash and vibe playing around with the time space vortex thingy or what ever they want to call it, all in all buy this season for the cross over and maybe some interesting plot mix ups to the other 2 bigger and better shows or just Netflix that one episode as that was the strong point to me imho, would of given 5 stars but the series as a whole to me is just a sloppy seconds to a much better arrow and now the spin off of legends

I bought this item as a Christmas gift for someone.....The 1 that they own now 1 of the discs skip & I bought this for them as a replacement & for a great price.....Will recommend to friends and family & will buy again if needed.....5 STARS
