repeat after me: don't start unfinished webcomics mostly kidding, but I will say it's frustrating not being able to get a satisfying ending! this comic revolves around neighbors (shocker) Paris and Adam. Two boys who just became neighbors and whose mothers are work friends. Both of them have their issues to solve, but is it possible to overcome them? Pretty interesting cartoon!

Typical teen gay romance exploring the whole "is he gay, will he like me?" storyline and then the drama of high school romance and cheating and trust issues. This feels like a mid-2000s lgbtq+ teenage romance, though much of the dialogue is odd, and the general interactions are too angsty and dramatic for my liking. I imagine young, gay teens would enjoy it. I think a big part of the disconnect for me was in the translation - the author is not a first-language speaker and it comes across in the

The art is lovely though and certainly enough to get me to pursue further issues if only to appreciate the style and artwork.

So much drama and lost people. The age of the characters made the graphic scenes uncomfortable to look at. Its still very addictive and the drawing style is beautiful. I saw myself facepalming at the events, but on the other hand it reminds me of the turbulence on teenage years.

I thinks this is quite a good comic, not really the best tho. It feels pushed too much.

Both leads are complicated and flawed people, but I want them to get together despite the hurt I know they'll cause each other.

BLOG | INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | FACEBOOK This graphic novel has been shown to me by Instagram’s random ads for an x amount of time. At some point, I decided to just check it out. It is always weird to check out those ads because you never know what you will get, but since this was BL… I could not miss out the opportunity. Thankfully, it was something that I really loved. The plot centers around two young adults. As you might have guessed, they are neighbors. It is pretty straight forward and the story is easy to grasp especially if you really pay attention to each of the characters personality. It is such an honest story that their personality alone is the face value of what you will get from the graphic novel. Romax‘s art style is surely up my alley and I am definitely in-love with it. Her wonderful and vibrant colours provided that additional attribute to her overall story and her palette elevated the characters personality even more. Her choice of paneling was not difficult to go through and each panel assisted in gripping the reader into the story. I am extremely glad to have stumbled upon this story. It sucks that I have always set it aside — who can blame me ? It was showing in the Instagram story ads. Anywho, at the very least I ended up reading it and now more people can appreciate the story and art with me.

If it at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again. And screw up repeatedly while trying because sometimes life just isn't agreeable in any way, shape or form. Ask Adam, one of our two protagonists. Bad decisions seem to be as natural as breathing, even when he's working at trying to fix them. He's just moved with his Mum (I'm Australian, we've got a notable English heritage) to a new town for a new start and his Mum's work. Why the need for a new start? Read the "bad decisions seem to be as natural as breathing" thing again. Or Paris, our other main character. He's trying to handle a homophobic, controlling father who his mother wisely divorced. Unfortunately, he's still involved in his sons lives (every say hi to Paris's little brother who I can not recall the name of right now) and has the very stupid notion that because you're putting money towards them living, it somehow means you get to dictate their lives. Our two cupcakes meet and have a complicated beginning which evolves into a more complicated relationship. Which is does not seem to be uncomplicating itself whatsoever. Communication, honesty and luck the size of Guam is going to be needed to see these two through their trials and personal issues. How this tale ends will be a mystery but what is sure is that there will be no limit on the angst, teenagers acting under the influence of hormones and the legitimate issues that are faced by LGBT+ people. The art is a testament to Romax's years of practise and thier story telling is brilliant! I stumbled upon their work while hunting down Stiles and Derek art works and comics and after finding out that they had printed a comic they'd been working on (I'm a print person, if it's not in print I basically don't care) I was straight onto the retail site to buy it. Not that I'd read Neighbor before hand. I could have, a part of it is up on Romax's Tumblr account http://slashpalooza.tumblr.com/ but I'm ridiculous and "Why read it for free when I can buy it paperback and have it for life?!" sort of person. It makes my life very financially poor but literature rich. It is 100% worth buying and volume 2 has just come out with volume possibly coming late 2o18!

"Since they couldn't see them from inside the house, it took about six months before they realized that they weren't working. They screwed them back in. I waited a couple of weeks and unscrewed them again. Another few months went by. Finally, one day, my neighbor asked me if I ever had any trouble with my outdoor lights. I told him yes, as a matter of fact, I did. I said that they would loosen up occasionally and I would have to retighten them. I blamed it on vibration from the traffic on our street. He said that he had the same problem. I told him that I finally just gave up and left them off. He eventually did the same. We were happy with the final outcome, and we were able to keep peace in the neighborhood."
It reads, "Our home does not celebrate Halloween, please do not knock on this door. Thank you!"
It says, "Excuse me, I would like to let you know that Thanksgiving hasn't passed yet, so there is no reason for the lights when it is not the most upcoming holiday. You might have worked hard to put the Christmas lights up, so we happily just ask to turn them off and keep it that way for the next couple of days."
It says, "It is not fucking Christmas, take them down. Wait until after Thanksgiving."
"I went inside and filled two one-gallon jugs of water. I went back out and poured them on his windshield. Rinse and repeat. I must have poured about ten gallons of water on his car by the time I was done. Being how cold it was, it was already freezing by the time I poured the last gallon on. It sat like that overnight. The next morning, I got to watch as he helplessly tried to scrape all of these layers of ice off his windshield. Don’t take my goddamn parking spot."
"The next weekend, my grandma hired some guys to come paint her house pink — the same shade as her 'tacky' lipstick. She not only left the lights up, but she also turned them on every night, all year long. Sometimes, she’d sit on her porch with a beer in her hand, glaring at her neighbor with her Christmas lights on in June. She didn’t complain to my grandma about anything else ever again."
"She complained that I am young (lol I am 38) and lazy (occasionally fair), and this garbage has been smelling up her porch for weeks (20 mins) and that it's now attracting rats, so people better be careful at the park across the street. I replied nicely, saying that I did spring cleaning and didn't want it ripped to shreds at the curb, but also didn't want to miss the garbage man. Everybody on the comments understood but her.
"Still, I was fed up. I hated using our front door, as they were always on the shared porch and have often harassed me. My kids don't like them either, and my daughter often asked me to check if the neighbor is out there before she leaves to see her friends. I've had enough. I called my landlord, but he said he couldn't do anything. The rental market was absolutely out of control, and I couldn't afford to move. So what could I do?
"This is going to sound super silly, but I am very happy with the results. I bought a wind chime. Not a twinkly one, but a real bonger of a wind chime. It's windy all the time here. I hung it as reasonably close to their side as possible without it ever crossing their property line. None of my other neighbors hang out on their front porches, so it wasn't bothering anyone else. It's small. It's petty. And it makes me giggle every time I leave the house and hear it."
"Before she could answer, I said (in a disguised voice), 'Hey [man's name], can you talk? Has she left yet?' She screeched, 'WHO IS THIS?' I 'gasped' and hung up. Not long after, they moved…in separate ways. Don't fuck with me."
"I knew my landlord, and he knew that I knew how to work on houses, so he gave me the only key to the basement where the electrical was. After being told to go fuck myself, I'd had enough. I went downstairs, flipped off the breaker to the upstairs apartment, locked the door, and went back for a peaceful night's sleep. I woke up at 3 and turned it back on before I left for work. Over the next two weeks, whenever the parties got too loud, I would simply turn off their power and enjoy a nice night's sleep. After that, there were no more parties. I think they got the message."
"She claimed that people had complained to her specifically, worried about walking in the courtyard while there were a couple of kids on bikes in the general area. My parents pretty much ignored her and just told me to play with my friends on one of the nearby streets, but none of us wanted to do that since we couldn't practice bike tricks on the road.
"About a week after I ignored her complaint, I had stayed out past the time I was meant to be home, and left my bike around the side of the building so I could get it in the morning. However, as you might have guessed at this point, I woke up the next day to find my bike missing. I, being a dramatic little kid, ran up the stairs to our hall sobbing and told my parents what had happened. Apparently, the old lady told my parents that she had taken the bike from outside because we were still in the courtyard, and they were mad at me for not going to the street like they asked. They then told me to go down the hall and politely ask for the bike back, which I did. Unfortunately, the old lady told me that I needed to be taught a lesson, and if I gave her a written apology (yes, actually), I could have it back at the end of the week (it was Sunday morning). I was, of course, pissed and started to plot my at-the-time brilliant revenge.
"Next Saturday, I put my plan in motion. I had put on a pretty good show of being remorseful to my mom, who lent me some money to buy a tin of biscuits to apologize with. I had my written apology, the biscuits, and several voblas in a sandwich bag I had hidden in my coat. For those who have never heard of vobla, it is a salted, dried fish popular in Russia, and that I personally think is one of the worst smells maybe ever. My mom is Russian and loves them, which is why we had so many in the apartment. I knoc
