Nikki Bella is almost halfway through her pregnancy!
The Total Bellas star gave fans an 18-week pregnancy update on her Instagram stories Wednesday morning and also shared some candid photos of her baby bump. The WWE star posed topless to show off her growing belly in two sexy selfies with a note about her changing body (and bosom!).
"It's crazy because a day after workouts abs really pop out in the morning," Nikki wrote. "But one thing I am dealing with is retaining a lot of water throughout the day. I will not look like this tonight. I can't believe how much I will retain in a day. Obviously boobs have gotten huge."
Nikki added, "There is my love. 18 weeks tomorrow!" with a second topless baby bump snapshot.
The E! star shared several other stories about the effects of pregnancy on her body, including videos of blotches and "brown marks" on her face and lots of gray hairs coming in on her head.
Nikki and twin Brie Bella announced they are both expecting in January 2020. This will be the first child for Nikki and fiancé Artem Chigvintsev .
"I can't even begin to describe to all of you how happy I am! I'M GOING TO BE A MOM!! It's something I have wanted to be my whole life," Nikki wrote in IG at the time. "I was definitely shocked when I found out. And so nervous! I wasn't expecting it and felt I wasn't ready but this journey of life is unpredictable. I thank God every day and night for bringing this amazing blessing and miracle into my life! I am already SO IN LOVE!!"

My "nipple" seems to triple in size while pumping. Is this what's supposed to happen, or is my areola getting sucked in and swollen? I have really big areolas, and the "nipple" that is sticking out is hard like a nipple. I honestly can't tell what's happening.
It looks like your flange might be too small. It shouldn't be leaving marks like that. Too small of a flange could also cause nipple irritation.
I've been trying bigger and bigger sizes. These are 32 mm (!). Here's what it looks like pumping. This side kinda hurts a little even on a low suction. It's seriously like my nipple and boob become one while pumping.
Ok so I'm having issues still too , I'm using size 24 or 27 and my nipples are getting long , 3x fatter , and white on ends after ? Should I go down with the size ? It's horrible pumping now
If you are on Facebook a group called fancy pumpers can help size you. My fried just told me his
Yeah I can't figure this out either. Also my nipples are now starting to look long since riding the flange size lol I'm so lost.
@am_douglas - that's great!! I really feel like there should be more education on these things, and fear of exposing nipples *gasp!* is a major reason we have no idea what we're doing. It's so frustrating!
So, I tried the 21 mm flange on the problem child boob and 24 mm on the other one. I think my output was reduced, but it's kinda hard to tell since every day I pump something different first thing in the morning. I only got 1.75 oz in the left and 4.5 oz in the right, while usually I do 3 oz and 6 oz (I know, a lot still, but I have a bit of imbalance between the two, and a problem with oversupply I've had to manage. It's caused two rounds of mastitis so no need to be jealous, normal-producing ladies). And while it felt pretty good for the first 5 min or so, the last 5 min got uncomfortable because it still sucked the nipple waaay in the tube part of the flange and production slowed to a trickle.
So this is kind of weird but thank you for posting a pic of your boob!!! I just pumped and got double what I get after a feed! I was using the 32s and they were pretty much sucking my areola in and even thought I should go up a size lol im using the 24s from now on
I think our breasts are complicated because of the areola size maybe I'm not sure! I never ever feel like the pump has emptied me so after seeing this I have some hope with getting a freezer stash
I'm going to try the 19's again tomorrow. I've been using 30/32's lately. And yeah, sizing charts say your nipple is supposed to fit in the tube part of the flange with just a few mm around it to allow it to freely move without areola getting sucked in. In theory, anyway...
So while I'm still figuring out pumping, little girl is a champ at latching (3 months old) and comes no where near getting all the areola in her mouth, haha. She maybe gets an inch of it (around the nipple) in her mouth.
I think I have the same boob/nipple! My nipples may be a bit bigger but not much but I am concerned because my thought was to try and get the entire areola into the baby's mouth so I kept buying the biggest flanges I could find to try and fit my entire areola. So is the goal to just not have nipple touching the inside of the flange??
I'll try packing the smaller flanges and some coconut oil in my pump bag for work tomorrow and give it a go for a session! Now that I've been pumping for two weeks with the larger ones I might have a better frame of reference than I did the first time I tried them.
I think you and I have similar nipple/areola situation. I had a lot of friction happening with the 19mm and 24mm, once I started coating the inside of the flanges with coconut oil pumping got a lot less uncomfortable.
It doesn't need to be coconut oil, any nipple salve (that you don't need to wipe off before feeding) will do, but coconut oil is cheap compared to the other stuff.
So, I did that, and before pumping the nipple is only 15 mm so I got the 19 mm flanges. But when I used them, my nipple/areola/boob would swell to where it was just rubbing up and down the side of the flange.
I don't know if it helps any, but when my nipples are cold part of the "areola" shrinks up to look like nipple, like maybe it's just a flattened big nipple.
I've posted more shameless pics in case it helps explain the situation or if it helps someone else down the road. I've been so desensitized to these suckers (haha, unintentional pun) being anything else other than where my baby girl gets food.
The bumpy part that's most of the boob in the below pic is the areola (sorry for lighting). The side shot show how there's not really a defined transition between boob, areola, and nipple.
Here's the link for the "nipple ruler".
You should try to measure the mm of your nipple and then go with the flange closest to your measurement (if you measure 26mm go up in size, not down). If you google it there templates that you can print and use to measure your nipple. If you're smaller than 21mm maymom on Amazon sells flanges 15mm and 19mm.
While pregnant my nipples were only 12mm so I purchased the 15mm and 19mm just incase and the 15mm ended up being to small after I gave birth and started BF. When my boobs are full the flanges fit perfectly, as they are emptied and soften up more of my areola is sucked in but it's not painful, though I also coat my flanges with coconut oil to prevent flange burns from friction.
Haha, I honestly don't know! I have super large breasts (38L) and I have large areolas (the first picture makes it look like it's just the flange outline, but that's the areola size too), so I'm only guessing I have large nipples too. I'm starting to think it's just the shape with the type of breast tissue I have. Who knows. I'm just going to keep trying things. The pumping pals come tomorrow so I'll report back if they help.
so do u need a bigger size or smaller, im having the same problem so following your post
To big for sure. And pumping shouldn't hurt or at least it's never hurt me.
That actually looks like it might be too big. Your entire areola shouldn't be in there, I don't think.
It's too big. Your areola shouldn't be going into it. Only your nipple should be.
I ordered Pumpin Pals flanges to try those. I've tried every size from 20-32 and my nipple (or what I think it's nipple) either rubs the side, or areola (or what I think it's areola) is pulled in.
I think the pumpin pals are returnable too if they don't work?
Mine do that exact same thing , I thought it was normal lol
Mine did that with the flanges that came with my Madela pump (24mm?). I'm small breasted with small nipples, I actually had to buy a different brand of flanges that were compatible with the Madela because they didn't make flanges small enough for me (19mm). That's was after I wasted money buying the smallest size Madela makes (21mm) only to find out they were still too big. I can't remember the brand name, but I got them from Amazon.
mine is a medela, maybe thats the problem, i think they are 24mm too
I was going to day you might need a larger flange. It looks like it's really sucking too hard on your nipple and areola for the amount of pressure you are using. Good luck!
You can have a large areola and small nipple! I have large breasts good sized areolae and small nipples...I haven't gotten brave enough to use my electric pump yet to see what flange fits best.
So if I have huge areolas I could possible be a small size flange?! I might be doing this pumping thing all wrong lol I bought 32 flanges lol because of my crazy areolas
