If you have just found out that you are pregnant then probably you are going to thrash this information. But know when you reach the end of your second trimester or are in your third trimester you might thank us for this piece of advice. Adult diapers are a pregnancy necessity, period. Here are few essential things that you should pick up while going for maternity shopping.
As your baby grows inside the belly the uterus also grows in size. This makes the internal organs shift while making space for the baby and the growing womb. As your stomach stretches out the organs in the abdomen cavity are shifted towards the diaphragm. The growing uterus also puts a pressure on the bladder and strains the muscles of the pelvic floor. Here are few ways in which pregnant women are body shamed in India.
You don t pee in public or suffer from any embarrassment when you have an urgent urge because the pelvic floor muscles exercise control over the bladder, uterus and other parts of the urinary structures that help to hold on the urine for some time till you locate a restroom. The pelvic floor muscles also keep the urethra closed so that your urine doesn t leak out.

But during pregnancy, these muscles are strained due to the pressure put on them by the growing belly and they lose control and this leads to incontinence. Some women leak and some soak their undergarments. The intensity might differ but pregnancy-induced incontinence is very common.

The secretion of hCG or human chorionic gonadotropin during pregnancy increases the blood flow in the body, which means the kidneys receive more blood for purification, more toxins are removed from the blood and hence pregnant woman has this urge of frequent urination. But with weak pelvic floor muscles controlling the bladder get difficult so one needs to be prepared for the consequences. One way to deal with this incontinence is to wear adult diapers. Here is one unique way to deal with frequent urination during pregnancy.
Not everyone might be comfortable with the idea of wearing a diaper and peeing in it. For us adults, peeing in a diaper consciously don t happen easily, unless your pelvic muscles are weak enough that they can t resist the pressure. There is a reluctance that we all face. But then adult diapers during pregnancy could be life-saving, especially when you are travelling. At least, they can stop you from soaking your bottoms in the midst of your commute or a theatre till you locate a restroom to relieve yourself.

Giving birth is a beautiful, messy process, but oftentimes, postpartum photos seem to shy away from the "messy" part. You might see a snap of a mom cuddling her new baby in the hospital—but not a pic of the *situation* still going on in her body after giving birth. I'm talking about lochia. According to the Mayo Clinic , vaginal discharge—known as lochia—is a common side effect for women after giving birth. It begins shortly after a baby is born, and starts as a bright red, heavy flow. Then, over the course of a few weeks, the discharge becomes watery and tapers off, changing colors from pink or brown to yellow or white.
Basically, it's like one massive postpartum period. Hospitals will often provide women with pads, disposable mesh underwear , or even adult diapers to keep them clean during the heavy flow. But many women don't know about lochia when they have a baby. Exhibit A: Chrissy Teigen, who took to Twitter this year in shock after giving birth to her daughter, writing, "No one told me I would be coming home in diapers too."
Amanda Bacon, 28, had no idea about this postpartum delight when she had her first child, daughter Kaelyn, three years ago. And in May this year, the Wilmington, North Carolina, mom found herself back in the postpartum flow after giving birth to her son, Pierson. This time, her fiancé, Ken Hardy, snapped a candid photo of her rocking some mesh panties in the hospital less than 24 hours after she gave birth. The pic shows Hardy holding their newborn, with Bacon in the background wearing nothing but a "giant mom diaper," as she calls it. And yesterday, Bacon decided to post the photo to Facebook .

"I think beyond thinking it’s funny, it’s just not something that people talk about or show, that side of childbirth," Bacon tells SELF. "The mesh panties, the diaper, the bleeding—all that fun stuff. I thought the photo was a neat, funny, and humorous way to show that child birth is beautiful and messy even after the baby comes."
Bacon felt a little hesitant sharing such an atypical postpartum moment, but she's received nothing but support on the photo. Like her and Chrissy Teigen, lots of other women have said they didn't even know lochia happened after giving birth.
"Everybody’s been really supportive, and a lot of women say they had no clue," she says. "A lot of women are reminiscing on when they had a baby and wore the panties, so it seems like a really encouraging response so far."

The photo has gone viral, with over 90,000 shares and 70,000-plus comments. Bacon hopes it not only gets women talking, but shows them they can laugh at themselves during childbirth's oddest moments, too.
"Women shouldn’t take themselves so seriously after childbirth and should enjoy their bodies and enjoy every aspect of having a baby, even the gross postpartum bits," she says. "It’s all just par for the course, and it’s all really a neat part of the whole experience."

A pregnant mom-to-be's entertaining way of speeding along her labor has gained her online fame.
Amber Bush was already a week past her due date when she was finally admitted to a hospital in Newport News, Virginia, on December 28, in anticipation of the arrival of her daughter Amelia.
Sporting mesh underwear since her water had broken and at six-centimeters dilated, Amber decided to try and speed things along by breaking into a dance.

Joined by her sister-in-law, Amber was filmed by her doula Jessica Weisbrod grooving along to the V.I.C. song Wobble, and her dance moves are impressive to say the least.
Sporting a bright pink sports bra, slippers, the mesh underwear and a wireless fetal monitor, Amber is seen stepping from side-to-side, wiggling her hips and pumping her arms to the music.
Jessica later posted the video of Amber to the Birthing in Love Facebook page , writing: 'My last client of 2016 dancing her baby down through contractions at 6 cm dilated!'
The doula also revealed in the video caption that Amber had made it through her labor without any pain medication.

The video took off, being viewed more than 11 million times since being posted to the page on February 24. 
Speaking to Huffington Post, Amber revealed that she had also danced to songs by Pitbull and Nicki Minaj while waiting for her baby to arrive - and that it had, in fact, been a part of her original birth plan.
She added that Jessica had encouraged her to perform squats and other exercises as well.
Amber agreed to have the video posted in order to share the birthing experience with other expectant moms - and is blown away by the reaction it has received. 
'This is my first baby, and there’s so much about the birth process and labor that women just don’t know,' she said. 'They don’t tell you you’re going to be wearing a big pad once your water breaks.'
