Frequently asked questions:

Subscription issues: Open iPhone Settings, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions to manage or cancel.

Account deletion: Inside the app, go to Settings, then Privacy, then Delete Account. Your data is removed within 30 days.

Data export: Inside the app, go to Settings, then Privacy, then Export My Data. We send you a JSON file with all your data.

Bug reports: Email support@prefac.app with your iPhone model, iOS version, and what you were doing when the issue happened. Screenshots help.

PreFac is an independent educational app for university English exam preparation. It is not affiliated with any university, language program, or testing organization.

Data We Collect

Account: email, nickname, hashed password. Apple/Google Sign-In gives us only the identifier and email permitted by the provider.

Learning: your answers, scores, study sessions, progress.

Device: hashed device ID, iOS version, app version (for crash reports and abuse prevention).

Purchase: subscription status from Apple, processed via RevenueCat. We do not see card details.

How We Use Data

To run the app, save progress, sync between devices, deliver content, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. Anonymous analytics. We do not sell your data. We do not share data for advertising.

Third Parties

Supabase (EU database hosting), RevenueCat (subscription management), Sentry (crash reporting with scrubbed PII), Apple App Store, Google Sign-In.

Data Retention

Active accounts: kept while active. Deleted accounts: removed within 30 days; some accounting records kept 10 years per Turkish tax law. Support tickets: deleted after 1 year.

Your Rights (KVKK + GDPR)

Access, export, correct, delete, withdraw consent at any time. In-app Settings - Privacy menu, or email kvkk@prefac.app.

Children

Intended for users 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Security

TLS in transit. Sensitive fields (user notes) encrypted at rest with pgcrypto. Passwords hashed with bcrypt.

Changes

Material changes announced in the app.
