Pre-Tribulation Rapture
towards8Origin
The pre-tribulation rapture states that the Church will be removed from the earth before the 42-month great tribulation begins so that it will not have to suffer. This doctrine is part of modern dispensationalism. Modern dispensationalism was started by John Nelson Darby in the 19th century and further developed by C. I. Scofield. In addition to the pre-tribulation rapture, modern dispensationalism also advocates the doctrine of religious Zionism regarding a fleshly Israel and a worldly temple. Thus, modern dispensationalism clearly contradicts the Bible, which says that the new Israel and the new temple are the Church (1Pet 2:4-10).
Refutation
The Bible does not teach a pre-tribulation rapture, but a post-tribulation rapture. The Bible clearly says that Christians must go through the great tribulation, for Revelation 13:7 says that the Beast will persecute Christians during his reign. If there had actually been a rapture before the tribulation, logically there would be no Christians in the tribulation. But since there will be Christians in the tribulation, this means there will be no rapture before the tribulation. Revelation 20:4 even says that those who will reign with Jesus for 1000 years will be the Christians beheaded during the tribulation.
