Prague Speakers 

On the 19th of December I had a chance to visit Prague Speakers Toastmasters club 🇨🇿. I almost screw up with my visit because I forgot to contact club officers. So I didn’t how to reach the place and my name wasn’t in the list. Fortunately I met some people going to the meeting and they helped me. Short notice for future: text club officers in advance to ask about the place details.😬

Meetings are held in the chemical university not far away from the city center. When I saw the agenda I was really surprised as I saw several really unusual things. For example: TTS evaluation and quiz. The latter confused me mostly. But let’s see what happened step by step☝🏼

The meeting started with the Prepared speeches session where performed two speakers. Both of them were quite interesting and informative.

Unusually evaluation session happened just after prepared speeches session. But it didn’t affect quality of evaluations.

During the break we all had a chance to try amazing pancakes and sweets prepared by members of the club. It’s always nice to have a conversation during the break, but when you can do it enjoying some snacks - it’s double pleasure.😋

After the break Table Topics Session started. Topic was Christmas and people were taking a piece of paper with the question. Questions were vefy funny and interesting.

At the evaluation session tables topics speakers were also evaluated - that was very useful. And finally the thing that amazed me mostly - work of quiz master. Previously I have seen it only once - in Russian Speaking club in Moscow 🇷🇺, Optima Forma. Quiz master prepares several questions about interesting details of meeting and then asks questions to the audience. We were divided into to groups: Santas and Snowmen. It was super funny - people were answering even before quiz master finished the question.

After the meeting I was asked to do something unusual - to sign in to guests book. I wrote my details and overall inpression of the meeting. I find this idea really helpful to club officers to keep all the feedback all together.
