Practice Strikes on Taiwan

Chinese exercises around Taiwan are routine. The main focus is always on blockading the island, but other tasks, such as strikes on Taiwan, are also occasionally practiced.

From February 13 to 16, Chinese troops are conducting an exercise at the 61st Missile Base of the PLA Rocket Force to practice a massive strike with precision weapons against strategic positions in Taiwan.

This is a scheduled exercise held every two to three months. During it, missile units in places like Meizhou or Yun'an practice entering a launch area and carrying out a simulated strike.

The main systems being used in the tests are the Dongfeng-17 IRBM and the Dongfeng-11A SRBM.

️ Surprisingly, Taiwan has shown no reaction to this exercise, even though, as a rule, any maneuver directed against Taiwan is sharply condemned by Taipei.
