Practical Seminar on "Developing Spatial and Master Plans Based on an Economic Development Strategy" Concluded

On April 2–4, 2026, a practical seminar titled “Development of Spatial and Master Plans Based on Economic Development Strategy” was held. As part of the seminar, the ongoing works were reviewed at the ecotourism complex being developed on a 250-hectare area around the Karkidon Reservoir in Kuva district, as well as at the 110-hectare “Burhoniddin Margʻiloniy” Research Center in the city of Margilan.

The third day of the seminar began with staff from Project Offices and local design organizations gaining first-hand insight into the practical implementation of master plan initiatives in the Fergana region.

In particular, participants visited the construction sites of the ecotourism complex around the Karkidon Reservoir in Kuva district, as well as development works at the “Burhoniddin Margʻiloniy” Research Center in Margilan.

During the first half of the day, the delegation toured the ecotourism complex being developed on a 250-hectare area around the Karkidon Reservoir in Kuva district in accordance with the master plan.

Within this territory, 57 modern guest houses and 11 restaurants and cafes have been constructed. In addition, more than 100,000 unique ornamental trees have been planted across 200 hectares. The project also includes designated quiet zones (48 hectares), a flower garden (12 hectares), an agrotourism complex (30 hectares), lavender fields, and chalet-style houses (30 hectares).

In the second half of the day, participants visited the “Burhoniddin Margʻiloniy” Research Center and the Yangi Oʻzbekiston residential complex, developed across 110 hectares in Margilan in line with the master plan. The visit included a detailed ознакомление with the Burhoniddin Margʻiloniy Museum, a maqom theater, a national market, and a cultural complex built based on the concept of the “Otabek and Kumush” house.
