If you're thinking the whole idea is completely unhealthy and wrong… it's quite the opposite. Poz Pigs encourages guys to stay healthy. That means you should know your HIV status and go on HIV meds before the virus does permanent damage to your body (generally about 2 years after you become infected, though it varies a lot individually). Studies have shown that poz guys can live just as long as neg guys these days if they do some pretty basic things to take care of their health. In fact, poz guys who are on treatment see the doctor so often that little things are caught quickly and as a result they actually live longer, on average, than neg guys. We think being poz makes you hotter and sexier, so there needn't be any fear getting tested. If you're poz, just own it!
On a really basic level we support people's right to do with their body as they see fit – including delaying HIV meds while their t-cell/CD4 numbers are reasonably strong. We are categorically against the criminalization of HIV instead believing negative guys should be responsible for their own sexual health. With the advent of PrEP there's no reason why keeping neg guys neg should be the responsibility of poz guys.

If you're neg and taking anonymous loads and don't take PrEP (or don't take it consistently), please consider participating in a HIV vaccine trial. It's difficult for HIV vaccine trials to get statistically significant results if the participants are taking PrEP since infections are almost unheard of on PrEP. And they can't ethically ask guys to not take PrEP. So as strange as it might sound, our community needs guys like you who take significant risks. In fact the more risks you take, the more you help your community. If you're interested in participating in a HIV vaccine trial, go to the HVTN website and search for trials in your area and then contact the trial site directly to see if you qualify. If you don't find a trial, check back every now and then as new trials are being started all the time. Realize that you'll be most useful in "Phase 2" and "Phase 3" trials. Phase 1 trials mostly just test to see if the vaccine is safe. Phase 2 and 3 is when they really start examining whether the vaccine works or not.
