This plumbing company always gets it fixed the first time around. They always seem to have the parts they need and they show up on time and get the job done. I have quite a few rental properties and their one of only two plumbers I use regularly. They are my first call. Sometimes there response time can be a little lengthy but that's is probably because they're so good at what they do. I even use them on my own home to completely re-pipe under the house which they did it a very reasonable price and finished quickly. That was over 10 years ago and have never had a problem since.
We are very particular in whom we choose to service our home. We have homes in multi-states and find Portland a challenge to secure SOLID folks. Well, look no further than Power Plumbing. Absolute straight-forward and no-nonsense. It was the holiday and we had a small leak. After contacting over 5-other companies who could come sometime in February OR for an ADDED sur-charge...blah...we found Power Plumbing and they came within a couple of days and no holiday surcharge. OMG....only in Portland do folks charge for that kind of nonsense. Or there is always, you have to pay for my mileage to get to your house?! I will never understand. Anywho, need a SOLID plumbing company, these are YOUR folks and now MINE! LOVE THEM!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU Power Plumbing!!!!!
Knocking them down a couple points for gouging me on parts pricing ($65 for what I could buy retail for max of $25) and not guaranteeing the work for what seemed like kind of a phony reason. Workman was courteous, professional and was reasonably fast - though not lightning.
We've used power plumbing for 3 of our homes. They are honest, efficient, experts in their field and superior customer service! Highly recommend them.
We had to get our whole house repiped. I got several bids but most plumbers aren't big enough to do a whole house repipe or had too many extra steps to follow. The biggest plumber in the area who is used to getting all the bids wasn't forthcoming with all the information we needed to make a decision, and I felt bullied and pushed into doing more work than was actually needed (replacing piping that didn't need to be replaced that would have added $3,500 to the price of the job). Power Plumbing came referred by a friend, and I could tell they were different by how thorough the person was who came out to do the estimate. He went into the crawl space and inspected the whole house, noting precisely what did and didn't need to be replaced, so that he could do an accurate bid. While the bid wasn't lower in price, we felt like if anything went wrong while in the middle of the huge job, they would deal with it honestly, so we chose them. The job took an entire week. Every day we left the house for work, during the day, the plumbers came in and worked while we were gone and were gone by the time we got home. Our water service was not interrupted during the time we were in the house. They also cleaned up after themselves like they weren't there at all, which was especially important because the entry to the crawl space is in my child's room and her room looked the same as how she left it. A few years back we had had rodents in our crawl space; the guys found a bunch of dead ones in traps and one day took a bag and cleared them all out and basically cleaned our crawl space for us while they were working, as well. Other plumbers stated that this type of job punches a bunch of holes in our drywall to get to the pipes but the plumbers only opened up one section of drywall behind the washer and did the rest through the crawl space, which I can imagine was more difficult than just going through the walls in the house. The damage to the walls was small enough and not in a visible location, so my husband can replace it without us needing to bring in someone to repair and paint a bunch of holes in the drywall. Other plumbers giving estimates had talked about us needing to bring tile people out to cut through tile so they could access the pipes, creating hundreds if not thousands of dollars more in damage just to get the basic work done. Overall it was surprising how easy this major work was on our family and I was very happy with the choice to use Power Plumbing.

Guys who installed and removed my old water heater were great and did an awesome job. However, they accidentally took a sealed box of dryer parts that were not theirs to take. This was especially frustrating considering that my dryer was also delivered and installed today, and I needed those parts for installation. I called the service department and they sent someone over with them but unfortunately arrived too late. Now I'm dealing with moving into my home tomorrow without a functioning dryer, and out $150 for installation. I do feel the company is honest otherwise and didn't dilly dally around or overcharge me. It is just unfortunate that this honest mistake made my move more difficult. I do appreciate their prompt fixing of the issue which is why I didn't mark the company lower. However, I do not appreciate taking boxes that are clearly marked with a name other than the installer, and will not be using this plumber in the future if other issues arise. I felt they could've offered me compensation for my installation I did not receive due to their error, which I would've used their services in the future if they had. Will not recommend to friends and family, either.
Originally called for a water main break. Two guys came out. Chris and I don't know the name of the younger one who was digging trenches in our yard. We have had nothing but issues with the areas they dug up. Carl who is the manager has never even come to the property. They now claim that our sprinkler system piping is thin and needs to be replaced with thicker so that's why it broke. We realize the piping could be thicker however we have had NO issues anywhere else othe property except where they worked. Completely unprofessional in follow up. Beware and find someone else.

Recently, I was hit with three plumbing issues at one time, due in part to the heavy snowfall and freeze of mid-Jan 2017! Sewer plug-up, broken water heater in additional dwelling and waterline break to same! Comes in three's you know!! Anyway, trying to locate assistance on these issues was like pulling teeth--everyone was having the same problems. I ended up on 4 waitlists with individual companies and many others were just too far out to wait! So, while I got the sewer issue particularly fixed--seems the real problem is mostly roots in the city's section of our line--to be fixed soon, the water heater replaced, and the broken pipe fixed (see review for Frontier Plumbing), I needed to take my name off of those waiting lists. Anyone with proper business sense would do the same! In calling Power Plumbing, and speaking to Kristin, who has been with the company for 17 years, I was given much insight into things I could do as follow-up to water and sewer issues! She suggested I check with the city on the reason for the spike in my water bill and perhaps it should have been checked, as something unusual. The pipe that has now been fixed--by Jeff, from Frontier Plumbing--might have been leaking for some time before cracking big time. Basic city meter checks should have/could have noted this earlier! Maybe a bill adjustment could be had. Never know, unless you check! As for further discussion, I mentioned the rather spending coupler placed on that discovered leaking pipe, and where I might get one. She mentioned Ferguson's, and Keller as two plumbing supply locations. Good things to know when I do this work later, if needed! We spoke for many minutes and I feel that while I did not use them for my aforementioned issues, it is good to know there are helpful, longstanding businesses out there that are more than willing to help the private citizen, even if that business did not get the job at the time. Steve was friendly, knowledgeable, arrived on time and worked quickly & with precision. I wish we had discovered Power Plumbing sooner as the last 2 plumbers we hired were messy, unprofessional and charged us for 'travel' time and other b.s. I'm glad Power Plumbing has integrity and we will definitely hire them again.

The garbage disposal at my parent's home stopped working out of nowhere. Last minute I started looking for plumbers in the area and came across Power Plumbing. David was the one who went to their home and took care of the issue within just a couple of minutes. He was very nice and polite, and also super professional. He made sure to communicate to my parents what cause they disposal to stop working and gave them information on how to avoid that from happening again. Although if it ever does happen again, I would definitively ask to have David help again since my parents seemed to be really happy with his work :) Thank you for the help!

If could give 0 star would. Tried to rip us and the condos associations off. Couldn't find the source of a leak, tried to say was our toilet, and would charge $485 To put a wax seal. Just a little overpriced. Lol Turned out was a leak on the 3rd floor laundry room, we are on the 1st floor. Jason who is the manager, as well as the plumber we're clueless.
